\"March<\/a>It\u2019s the last month of the 3rd<\/sup> quarter and Spring Break is rapidly drawing upon us.\u00a0 While everyone is looking forward to IMSA\u2019s biggest event of the year, Clash of the Halls, there are still several other exciting events that will be held throughout the month. These March events will be a great way to enjoy the final days of this\u00a0quarter.
\n<\/b><\/p>\n

Harambee <\/b>is a Black History Month celebration and a cultural showcase of African American Culture.\u00a0 It will include performances by SDAC and Mod 21 along with a multitude of music, history, and dance.<\/p>\n

When: Sunday, March 2nd<\/sup> at 4:30 pm<\/p>\n

Where: IMSA Auditorium<\/p>\n

Senior Auction <\/b>puts donated items such as catered wing dinners and chances to dine with teachers up for auction.\u00a0 There are also coveted res-life perks such as first choice housing and car on campus.\u00a0 This is traditionally the Senior Class\u2019s largest fundraising event and is sure to please.\u00a0 There will be a silent auction on Monday at midday for smaller items and a live auction Monday at 6 PM for featured items such as res-life perks and catered wing dinners.<\/p>\n

When: \u00a0\u00a0Monday, March 3rd<\/sup> at Midday, 6 PM<\/p>\n

Where: IMSA Old Caf, IMSA Auditorium<\/p>\n

St. Baldricks <\/b>is an organization that raises money to fund research against Children\u2019s cancer.\u00a0 In order to support those with cancer, some people will have their head\u2019s shaved at midday.<\/p>\n

When: Thursday, March 6th<\/sup> at Midday<\/p>\n

Where: Old Caf<\/p>\n

Clash of the Halls <\/b>is a competition between the seven res halls and it is IMSA\u2019s biggest event of the year.\u00a0 It spans nearly a week and is made up of many smaller events.\u00a0 Here is a breakdown of the events:<\/p>\n

Monday<\/p>\n

Dress Up: Clashing colors.\u00a0 Wear clashing colors and get checked in the old caf at midday to get participation points for your hall.<\/p>\n

Midday Event: Musical chairs was moved to accommodate our annual group of Irish Dancers who are performing at Midday<\/p>\n

Evening Event: Hall presentations.\u00a0 Judges will come by each hall after school to judge how well students decorated their halls and how well it fits with their clash theme.<\/p>\n

Night Event:\u00a0 Hall movie showing.\u00a0 Watch a short movie made by each hall in the evening.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Tuesday<\/p>\n

Dress Up: Fancy day<\/p>\n

Midday Event: RC talent show.\u00a0 Watch RC\u2019s from each hall showcase their talents at midday in the old caf.<\/p>\n

Night Event: Talent Show.\u00a0 Watch your hall mates showcase their various talents in the auditorium.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Wednesday<\/p>\n

Night Event: Minute to Win it Game Show.\u00a0 Adapted from the popular NBC game show, this activity will have members from each hall competing in a mish mash of challenging, minute-long mini games.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Thursday<\/p>\n

\u00a0Dress Up: Hall color\/ hall shirt.<\/p>\n

Midday Event: Face painting.\u00a0 While not counting for points, getting your face painted in your hall\u2019s color will be a great way to represent your hall and get pumped for the evening event. Musical Chairs will also take place on Thursday:\u00a0Watch as two members from each hall compete in a traditional musical chairs event.<\/p>\n

Night Event: Pep Rally and Drill Teams.\u00a0 The climax of Clash of the Halls, this evening activity will have each hall winning some last points by running an obstacle course or engaging in an eating contest.\u00a0 Then the Drill Teams from each hall will compete and will showcase their hall\u2019s dancing talents.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
