Each year during the month of March, the seven halls participate in a variety of events, including a talent show, game show, obstacle course, daily riddles, video gaming contests, and a hall dance-off (known simply as &#8220;drill&#8221;). Like homecoming week, points are tallied for each hall throughout the week of the competition, with each event carrying a different point value.<\/p>\n<p>Clash is a limited-prep competition, and Sunday, February 3rd marked the first night for halls to begin planning their acts for talent show and drill. Clash week is two weeks before spring break (formerly <em>one<\/em> week before break, but the timing was changed this year so as not to interfere with end-of-quarter assessments).<\/p>\n<p>As part of the competition, each hall is assigned a color and must choose a theme based on that color. For example, last year 1505 was given the color black and <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.imsa.edu\/acronym\/2018\/03\/16\/mok05-where-to-draw-the-line\/\">devised the controversial theme<\/a>&nbsp;of &#8220;Mok05.&#8221; 01&#8217;s hall color of white became &#8220;Paranorm01,&#8221; and 06&#8217;s green became &#8220;Retr06.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Without further ado, here are the colors for this year&#8217;s Clash of the Halls.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: purple\">01<\/span> <\/strong>&#8211; Purple<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: blue\">02<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; Blue<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: black\">03<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; Black<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: green\">04<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; Green<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #ff1493\">05<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; Pink<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: red\">06<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; Red<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: white;background-color: #000000\">07<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; White<\/p>\n<p>According to IMSA lore (a reasonably accurate source), no girls&#8217; halls had won Clash for 12 years running before 1506 won the competition last year, beating out 1505 by taking first place in drill. Will 06 reign victorious again this year? That remains to be seen.
