Being able to start an episode without the lurking fear of an upcoming due date is incomparable. Here\u2019s a recap of some recently popular television shows that many were sure to watch over the break.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bridgerton<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A classic period drama, <em>Bridgerton<\/em> focuses on the Bridgerton family. Each episode is narrated by Julie Andrews, who plays an anonymous columnist. The narration follows eight children of a widow as they navigate through life, which happens to be full of drama and gossip. Receiving both praise and criticism, the show decided to make the characters racially integrated, drawing on<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bridgerton\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Queen Charlotte&#8217;s possible African ancestry<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <em>Bridgerton<\/em> was created by Chris Van Dusen, and stars Rege-Jean Page, Phoebe Dynevor, and more. Overall, the show received general approval from critics. Richard Roeper from the <em>Chicago Sun-Times<\/em> named the show <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.metacritic.com\/tv\/bridgerton\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201can unqualified triumph\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Released: December 25, 2020<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 89%<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Bachelor (Season 25)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After finishing the 16th of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Bachelorette<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the widely popular franchise released its 25th season of <em>The Bachelor<\/em>, starring Bachelor Matt James. This reality show focuses on 32 women as they fight for Matt\u2019s heart. A variety of one-on-ones, group dates, and drama make <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Bachelor<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> truly unique. Eventually, the winner will likely go home with Matt as husband and wife. Matt also happens to be <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bachelor-nation.fandom.com\/wiki\/The_Bachelor_(Season_25)\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">the first black Bachelor<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, making history in the franchise. New episodes are released every Monday with five already aired. Notable contestants include Abigail Heringer, Bri Springs, Rachael Kirkconnell, and more.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Released: January 4th, 2021<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>WandaVision<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Streaming on <em>Disney+<\/em>, <em>WandaVision<\/em> is a miniseries based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe\u2019s characters, Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) and Vision. The plot is meant to take place after <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Avengers: Endgame<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and follows the couple through<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/WandaVision\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> various television tropes<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Moreover, Episode Five features a twist ending, leaving viewers wondering what this may mean to the MCU. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">WandaVision<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> has gained critical attention for its uniqueness and conspiring plot. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.metacritic.com\/tv\/wandavision\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">From <em>The Independent<\/em>,<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Louis Chilton wrote, \u201cIt\u2019s the most purely intriguing thing the MCU has ever made\u201d. The show was created by Jac Schaeffer and stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Released: January 15th, 2021<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 93%<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tiny Pretty Things<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This seemingly light-hearted dance series takes a dark turn of mystery and lies. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tiny Pretty Things<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> revolves around the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tiny_Pretty_Things\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Archer School of Ballet <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">after one of its students is pushed off the roof of a building by an anonymous attacker. The show is based on the novel written by Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton. What\u2019s unique about this show is that all of the featured dancing is performed by the actors themselves, which makes it feel more authentic. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tiny Pretty Things<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> was created by Michael MacLennan and its cast includes Casimere Jollette, Brennan Clost, and Barton Cowperthwaite.
