This brief article introduces our Senior at Large for this school year: William Guo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the Acronym\u2019s interview with Will, we explored various topics including his leadership background, goals for StudCo, and more!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Briefly describe your position and duties for new IMSA students as Senior at Large.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Will\u2019s role on StudCo is to act as a liaison between the senior student body and StudCo. This role involves closely working with the faculty StudCo advises. Alongside this, Will also is in charge of the Senior Event and has a role in developing the StudCo Newsletter.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Why did you run for StudCo?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Will has always been passionate about improving the campus community. Furthermore, he states that \u201cthere has been terrible communication in the last two years and I want to fix the unjust reputation of StudCo.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What advice do you have for new students interested in running for the \u201cat Large\u201d position or in general on StudCo?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Take notes, future StudCo representatives. When writing speeches, be unique and don\u2019t be boring or technical. Will also emphasizes that \u201cyou don\u2019t have to go through the time limit; show that you are passionate, and communicate efficiently.\u201d Specifically for the Sophomore at Large position, he recommends getting in touch with upperclassmen quickly to learn more about IMSA and some of the previous issues.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What goals do you have for this upcoming school year?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Will\u2019s outcomes for StudCo are based on his current endeavors, however, things may change as the school year progresses. He aims to design the Senior Event, and implement the StudCo Newsletter\u2013building on the important theme of communication to students.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>As for getting to know you, are there any things such as subjects, extracurriculars, or experiences you would like to share that relate to StudCo, helped you find this path, or just in general you want to share with the audience?&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In relation to StudCo, Will mostly attributes his success in getting along with IMSA quickly to the Acronym, allowing him to understand flaws and set feasible goals when applying for Senior at Large.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How has StudCo been so far, how\u2019s the team getting along and what are you looking forward to?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Will thinks the team is doing well and frequently meets over Zoom to make progress on the previously mentioned agendas.
