A <\/span>preliminary autopsy report<\/span><\/a> stated that the cause of death was multiple traumas and internal and external bleeding in the skull, chest, abdomen, and limbs due to the fall. Payne was alone when he fell and investigators saw broken objects and furniture, as well as what seemed to be narcotics and alcohol while they searched his room. No defensive wounds could be seen and authorities interviewed two women who were with him earlier that day along with several hotel staff members. <\/span><\/p>\n
