This shift allows students to earn college credit more efficiently while still covering core concepts like probability and data analysis. For students looking to go further, MAT418 and MAT419 Advanced Topics in Data Analysis will give students the chance to work with more complex models and real-world data.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In computer science, CS421 Robotics and Control Systems will focus on how robots are designed and programmed. Students will study control systems, feedback loops, and the basics of automation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The English department is introducing ENG325 AI in Text and AI as Text, which explores how artificial intelligence appears in literature and how it changes the way we think about writing and creativity. ENG361 Tolkien Language and Literature, returning for the first time <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/digitalcommons.imsa.edu\/eng_pr\/11\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">since 2019 to 2020<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, invites students to study the linguistic and mythological depth of J.R.R. Tolkien\u2019s work, including texts such as <em>The Lord of the Rings.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the history and social sciences, HSS201j Empires in World History will examine major empires and their impact over time. HSS346 Historical Studies of Insects and Plants takes a more unexpected approach, focusing on how insects and plants have shaped trade and science which affect everyday life.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In world languages, WLG260 Perspectivas en el Mundo Hispano will focus on cultural and literary perspectives from the Spanish speaking world.
