Every year as our graduating class of seniors departs IMSA, underclassmen share words of appreciation and recount the memories they shared with their seniors. We hope you enjoy these as much as each underclassman did when making out their wills to the seniors. Just don’t become a Chinese mafia boss.

To Kennedy Su, I will you a lifetime supply of matcha. You are the most performative boba booth guy I know. I mean I gotta respect the larp because you cannot tell me matcha tastes good. Have fun at USC my Taiwanese king.

To Lucas Zhang, I will you a lifetime at the gym. Preferably ones that don’t scroll questionable reels during ten check and blast music at 3 am.

To Grace Rhee, I will you some more well-behaved sophomores. Thanks for helping me throughout the year with various things. Your Korean booth painting was really nice. You play violin good too.

To Noah David, I will you abilities to manipulate space-time. We all know you are only gonna use this to play minecraft in the printer room during lunch but ig i gotta respect the grind. Dw FTC will be in good hands under Andy Me and Aiden. We’re gonna make worlds for sure.

To Kayleen Yoo, I will you a binderful of photocards… to give to me of course. Anyways it was nice being in Korean booth with you. You’re one of the most unique individuals I know, but you never fail to make me laugh. Thank you for never making me feel embarrassed, as I know you’ll always outweird me. I’m so insanely grateful to be your little sib. You made my welcome week so memorable, and helped convince me I made the right decision to come to IMSA. You’ve been there for me my entire IMSA career, and I can’t express how grateful I am for that. You are one of my absolute favorite people, and I can’t believe we got lucky enough to get paired as siblings. Whether it’s accidentally matching, having the same weird sense of humor, or twinning with our opinions, you’re the older sister I never had. I don’t know how I would’ve made it this far at IMSA without you. Thank you for all of the college and personal advice, for the food, and for always being such a good friend to me. I’m so glad we’ve gotten so close this year, and I’m glad I can go to you for absolutely anything. Thank you for including me in all of your SSS activities (Chicago, prom, debriefs at AC pit tables, and everything else), you guys are the reason I’ve had so much fun and been less stressed this semester. I know I keep saying this, but now there’s zero days until you leave me behind. I will miss you so insanely much, and I don’t know if I can survive without talking to you everyday. I can’t imagine not having you singing in my ear or spraying me with water, or having to watch you start dancing in the middle of the hallways. Thank you for being someone I can always look up to, and I hope that you find your own Tanvi in college.

To Anusha Saraf, I will you an even more aesthetic Insta feed and more Korean corn dogs after graduation. I hope your digital photography skills come in clutch and help you get the best photos ever for your Insta. Thank you for always giving me food and clothes, and for all of the advice. Thank you for putting me on delicious frozen food and for directing Tanvi’s promposal. Spending that MHD with you was one of the best days of my IMSA career, and you truly made it so much better. I love when we both decide to do no work in BC after getting ditched by our whole table. You always inspire me to try (and give up) to wear cuter outfits to school, and I hope you find people that are just as stylish as you in New York.

To Ritika Rudrapati, I will you the ability to stop blinking in photos and a jacket you actually wear. Your inability to take a good set of photos with your eyes open never fails to make me laugh. I hope you’ll finally make an Insta post once you stop blinking. Thank you for all of your support with choreoing during Diwali, you’ve been a huge help and saved me from so much stress. And thank you for always helping me before a math test, I don’t think my grade would survive without you. Thanks for always chudding out with us in hall commons, you’re so fun to talk to. I hope you lock in and realize Illinois is cold, and that you either actually wear a jacket in college, or that you get better at thugging out the cold!

To Sai Ganbote, I will you a guy that won’t also want your roommate. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed more than the events leading up to prom. I hope you know that even though I always clown you, I look up to you so much, and you impress me all the time. Thank you for giving me pizza and for including me, even when we weren’t as close as we are now. Spending time at the tables with you guys is one of the best things I could’ve done, as you guys made my junior year better in so many ways. Thank you for always listening to me crash out, and for always giving me advice on either math or just life. You always make me laugh, especially when you do the walk of shame to get Doordash. I’m glad you finally committed to a school, and I hope you have the best time of your life there.

To Kennedy Su, I will you infinite matcha and free brunch. While you’re one of the most performative people I know, thanks for always being real with me. Our debriefs in Orgo and BC were so fun, and I love how we always got zero work done. I’m glad we extended our debriefs to brunch with Sharon, those were some of the most insane lore drops ever. Even if we’ve all been too busy to run brunch lately, I hope we can even when you’re both off at college, especially since the lore will be even better then. And when we weren’t gossiping at brunch, we were even more unlocked while cramming for BC and Orgo (playing Smash instead of studying). Even though I always lost, I’m glad I got a little better. I hope you find people that are just as performative as you after graduation!

To Aqeel Bajowala, I will you more stuffed animals and friends to make your Tiktoks with. Thank you for giving me the stuffed animal (even if Kennedy lost it), it was fun while it lasted and hopefully I can find it again. And for forcing me to make the TikTok with you, I promise I’ll hate on them less now. Thanks for helping me in math in BC1, I’m glad that struggling over MVT and optimization made us become friends. While I can’t say the same for this semester (playing Mario Kart and Smash instead of studying), given how unlocked we were, bonding over “math” was worth it. I’m glad we got to be in the same math class this semester (even if you got banished to a table away from everyone for a bit). Hanging out with you always makes me giggle. Have fun at NYU (please don’t hazed) and I look forward to seeing you make your TikToks with new victims.

To Neil Sitapara, I will you less clips of you that get stickered. But I don’t know if that’s possible, because you’re one of the most chalant people I know, and unfortunately that results in you getting clipped. Even if you’re a little out of pocket, thanks for making me laugh when I’m having an off day. Our “study” sessions are sooo helpful, but I’m grateful for the fun memories we got from them. And even if you stole my promposal, it was fun to plan with you, and I’m glad you locked in and pulled it off well. I hope you get a better fashion sense in college (but anything’s better than a bright red hoodie and shorts)!

To the seniors on the soccer team (Kelsie, Charlotte, Abbi, Muskaan, Amada, Kate, Olivia, Eleanor), I will you guys more wins in life than we got on the field. Even if we had a rough record, you guys made every game fun. I always looked forward to playing with you guys. You guys always knew how to make even the most boring drills fun. Thank you for always being welcoming and for lifting me up even when I got slimed. And a special thank you to Kelsie and Abbi for always taking my goal kicks.

To Aimanohi Imoukhuede and Ria Bakshi, I will you living near upperclassmen like yourselves. You guys have made A wing a much better place. I love seeing and talking to you both at 10 Check. Thank you both for listening to me rant, and for your advice. Aimanohi, I’ll never forget the time you helped me with housekeeping, and we spent a whole hour washing rags and lore dropping. While the housekeeping itself was horrible, your company made it so much better. Ria, track was so much fun with you sophomore year (and thanks for teaching me how to squat). You guys are the best wingmates I could ask for, and I hope you guys have great neighbors in college as well.

To Vishnu Vijay, I will you better social skills so you don’t get sent to a summer program. Just kidding! While you are a little weird at times, I’m glad your social skills helped us become friends. Doing combined with you was so fun, you’re one of the most whimsical people I know. Texting you is so insanely funny, you have the most advanced word choice ever and I always get baffled by your creative insults. Thank you for all of the college and school advice, for letting me copy your biophys cheatsheets, and for all of the math help. You’re genuinely one of the most intelligent people I know, and I admire your passion for learning so much. I hope your passions carry you far at Yale.

To Dhivija Challa, I will you better photography skills. I’m glad we’ve finally had a class together this semester (even if we almost never go), and I’m grateful it’s made us closer. Thank you for always telling me what the assignments are, and for debriefing with me in class instead of actually doing our photography work. I’m so grateful you were in Combined and Girls with me, you made it 10x more fun. Thanks for being our honorary Psych board member, you made the meetings more interesting. I love your sense of humor, and I also admire how locked in you are. Being friends with you motivates me to lock in more, and I’m so proud of you for all of your accomplishments (including passing photography lol).

To my family (Ritika, Anusha, and Julia), I will you guys so many more Pop Up bagels. Thank you guys for putting me on the bagels, they changed my life. The whole day was so fun, even if we were freezing. Thanks for getting us cute pictures and helping me decide which clothes to buy. Thanks for making us feel welcome in not just the trip, but all of the pre prom and prom activities! I hope you guys find family almost as good as ours in college.

Back to Top | Back to Index

Advaith Ballem

To Noah Kim, I will you the phrase “Ich bin ein”, and also a melted chicken biriyani scented candle:). These have allowed us to achieve magnificent synergy, and just know I put you on your energy drink grind. I wish you luck and a lot of procrastination in Northwestern, and have fun in college, johnule.(dont die).

To Evan Lee, I will you the ability to call a see saw a teeter tot, 10000 bottles of red classic match, and a pc ACTUALLY made with love and care, as well as one packet. I appreciated your absolutely useless advice you would spout at 3 am that usually consisted of gibberish and mean words. Keep being a blithering buffoon, and I promise WE are going to med school together.

To Kennedy Su, I will you my absolutely blessed FYP on IG reels, as well as my actual Geometry Dash skills. I also will you some dumbbells, so you can get some weight on you. We should run hotpot back again, and genuinely clear out the restaurant, though i will be doing the heavy lifting. Have fun with college Ken Kaneki, create some dad lore or smt.

To Aqueel Bajowala, I will you a PSL 8, a really fancy hammer for your bonesmashing, and a blessing from tung tung god. I also will you a absolute splendid time in Mamdanistan, and better drip, cuz sweaters and skinny sweatpants ain’t gonna get you far in the big Apple. Good luck Aqueel, and I will be expecting that facetime call(ebk).

To Lucas Zhang, I will you W drip and a 405 bench press. Keep hitting the gym, and dont go insane in college, just buy some rings or something idk.

To Neil Sitapara, I will you some Taco Bell and a 135 bench press. You’re always just a chill guy, very nonch(short for nonchalant, just using slang) and very tuff. Have fun in college, maybe I see you soon.

To Ryan Kim, I will you 3 inch height boosters, and a rare FC mobile card. You are the definition of nonch, and your so tuff. Do great things(or not) at Northwestern.

Back to Top | Back to Index

Akhil Narayanan

To Raj Patel, I will you infinite Bollywood songs and movies to enjoy while you are at UW-Madison. You have had many funny experiences in relationships and limerences that we love to fry you for, but I respect the fact that you always take things as an opportunity to learn and grow from. I also will you the courage to ask for the Coach bag back and the sense to not buy one in that situation. I will always be grateful that I became friends with you sophomore year, your little sib happened to be my roommate who fanned you out, and you ended up adopting me as your little sib. We clicked instantly, and I could tell you were a very cool and genuine person. Thanks for putting up with me and my immaturity and annoyingness. Over the course of my time at IMSA you have been someone I could consistently rely on and go to for advice. I am so very appreciate of our bond that isn’t just a surface level friendship; the deep talks and conversations we have will be moments I never forget. You never fail to remind me how mature you are and always push me to be better, more mature, and wise. You also always listen to me and get advice from me too, your open mindedness and humility is another thing I really respect. Your passion and work ethic is very inspiring and I know it will take you far in life. I have always wanted a brother, and while I never had one, you took your role as “Big Sib” literally and showed me what it was like to have one and for that, I am forever grateful. Hanging out with you is also fun, you’re always doing something stupid, instigating, throwing cereal at sophomores, or just coming into my room to doomscroll with no end. Loredropping, trolling, and frying each other have all been core IMSA memories. From the random walks we had at the very beginning of sophomore year, hangouts, unsuccessful study sessions, successful study sessions, lore drops, frying, instigating, you have made my IMSA experience much more enjoyable. I’m going to be sad that next year I can’t just text you and hang out in 5 minutes. Thank you so much for being a friend, a peer, a mentor, and a brother. I will miss you but we will def hang out, I wish you all the best at UIUC and your future plans.

To Aqeel Bajowala, I will you flash cards to help with your memory. I pray that you get your dream vacation at Turks and Caicos and you can party there and not get tired. Actually tho, you have been a really funny and silly friend. You’re mad chill and a cool person. Your ability to genuinely not care, do whatever, and live however without being scared or high inhib is inspiring. Hopefully you don’t get fried in your teacher comments because of your tomfoolery in BC but I hope you know that it is 100% as funny as you think it is. Every situation I have had with you has been hilarious. You have genuinely been the embodiment of not caring and trolling and I hope you keep that energy at NYU. Your always down to hang and you have helped me have fun, be less uptight, and care less. Other than your humor, I know you also have a serious side to you. Your dances are also iconic, “We going to Waubansee” and the “Failing Frolic” will go down in history, hopefully you have many more dances to celebrate your future success. Don’t worry we will keep your stuffed chia pets safe. I hope you have even better zipper rides and experiences in amusement parks in the future. Also it would be aMaZing if you had some more courage in certain situations and I hope you stop getting played. I hope you have a fun time at NYU and good luck with your “more important stuff to deal with rn”.

To Ari Bajaj, I will you the strength to deal with the things that WE have to go through. Also the ability to stop getting into so many “accidents”, better balance, and stop getting in fried situations. I also will you some glasses so you don’t have to keep taking mine and feeling yourself. Your confidence and your hand always in your hair is funny. Horseplaying and wrestling with you has been pretty fun and your banging on lex tables and spilling your cherry coke makes lex even funnier. Not gonna lie Lavads also got a lot of their mannerisms from you like, “Whaaaaaaaaaaat???”. You’re always frying people but you give tough love big brother vibes. We have occasionally had deep talks and they have always been interesting. You’re funny and hanging out with you is fun. We should hang out n go to Taco Bell, but that might be a bad idea so instead we can go to KFC and maybe get a 6 piece or just a measly 3 piece. And then after we should also go watch Project Hail Mary. I hope you find many more friends you can be friends with for 9 months and have a good time in college. Also I’m sorry to say this but you genuinely growl more than Omar. I know your desire to make your own way in life will make you successful. Have fun and good luck in college.

To Lavads (Neil, Ari, Aqeel, Sean, Freddy, Omar, Akshat, Matthew, Mofe, Michael, Ini, Benicet, Jaiden, Rell, Axel, Xander), I will you many more fun lunch tables. You guys have easily been one of the biggest highlights of my sophomore and junior years. There is never a dull moment with you guys; I know when I walk into Lex and I see you guys at a table with absolutely no space to sit (that 5 more people are going to try and fit in) I will be dying of laughter in 5 minutes and Lex rotting till 30 minutes after Lex closes. Even when I feel burnt out or down, I know that when I hang out with you guys I won’t be able to stay like that. There will always be some insane what ifs or hypotheticals, lore drops, debates, or just the usual frying accompanied by hysterical laughter, falling out of chairs, banging on the tables, and a drink spilling. Being able to hang out for hours at a time at Lex and getting kicked out of the IRC is just a testament to how much fun we have together. Our friend group genuinely has the most aura on campus, we definitely make our presence known, you guys are so loud. I know both Lex workers and people eating there talk about our table and some def want to join us to see what is so funny. There is not much to say other than the fact that Lavads is just peak. I am so grateful for you guys and this friend group, it has given me so many fun memories, experiences, and connections. I love all of you guys and I wish you guys all a bright future and good luck with your future endeavors.

To Sean Manzanga, I will you a math table almost as good as our MI4 one. Thinking back on those days is so funny, back when WE were just little jits in MI4 and I would just always annoy you to now being friends. I always thought you were really chill and funny even from when I first met you and it holds true to this day. You are actually hilarious even in a nonchalant way, somehow still making all of us laugh, with your one liners or comebacks. You’re not a chatter or a yapper, you always have substance to what you say, and when you occasionally drop advice its always golden. Your 2 phrases will always be iconic, “Its okay to like girls” and “I hate when dudes steal free food” and they are always funny when you use them. First one is so iconic it gets used as a joke, used seriously, and used to fry people to this day. I’m scared of the stuff “we don’t wanna know” and the interesting reels you’ve liked but you’ve got that. Please get a better diet than the diet for “athletes” you have and maybe then you would have been able to outrun Rell. Go get your bag at UPenn, I know you will do well, have fun and good luck.

To Omar Njikam, I will you many more handshakes. Omar, my brother from the Raq, you have always treated me with so much respect it’s actually crazy. Even when I’m messing around and doing something extremely stupid, you have never made me feel bad or feel like I’m being annoying. I love the fact that I can make whatever joke or put on what ever accent and you will still laugh and shake my hand. You always hype me up with your “Okay, Sir Benjamin Charly” and you’re just a very chill dude. Please go back to being Leo from Lab Rats and good luck with all your future endeavors Sir Omar Njikam. Also please stop growling at people and scaring them away.

To Freddy Igbinosa, I will you some poise. Why are you always making a mess and causing a ruckus everywhere you go. Also the way you can just step through a window is just unnatural. While you’re always doing something stupid, intentionally or unintentionally, it never fails to make us laugh. You are one of the most easy going, light hearted, sweet people I know. You are kinda like a mascot, especially to FFC, the way everyone loves you. Your laughter and smile genuinely fills the room. I know you will keep that energy and not let anyone bring you down, your positivity and easy going nature is admirable. You always crack funny or stupid jokes and always want to make sure people have a fun time and check up on them when they look down. I hope your future is filled with “forward ”, good luck!

To Deen Kareem, I will you some coding abilities. I don’t know what you would have done in CompuSci without AI. I remember back in sophomore year when you thought I was so annoying (and for good reason), but I’m so glad we have grown since then. While we always troll each other (and I love to troll you), you also always listen when I talk and we have had many serious conversations, I really admire your ability to be respectful and talk seriously when it comes down to it. Other than when we are just messing around with each other and drawing on closets, I can really tell you are very mature and I have a lot of respect for you and your ability to not get caught up in IMSA drama and stay true to yourself. You are pretty funny and hanging out with you is always fun, even when you are making fun of us. And when you are trolling and when you’re not trolling, you have always felt like a big brother to me, someone I can wrestle with, and also talk to seriously. Staying weekends or talking after check with you has been a highlight of my A wing experience. Staying up to study for BC or just recently AP stats (fried), you walking into the twins room on a Compu Sci night just for none of us to have it done and ending up just wasting time or telling us you just AI’ed it, trolling in AI with Patankar have all been core memories with you and I am so glad we made them. Don’t forget to mess up their order otherwise they will be MAD, I hope you get your Pitbull, beat that Donkey Kong level, get those animal style fries, and take a lot of Polaroids at graduation. I have so much respect for you, you are like a brother to me, I will really miss you when you are gone, hopefully we hang out again, and good luck with all your future endeavors.

To Tanvi Boddupalli, I will you a Mandarin Tutor. I do NOT will you a spyglass because I’m so freaking scared as to what you might do with it (PEEP what I did there?). Genuinely though, I am so glad I became friends with you, you are really cool and I really enjoy hanging out with you. I wish we were tighter early on in the year, but I’m so glad we got closer recently. You have been a really funny friend and you have truly felt like an older sister to me. The way we vibe feels very natural and I can be however silly I want to be and you always match my energy. I appreciate how you talk to me like I’m not just a kid, maturely, tell me stuff, and listen to me and ask me interesting questions. Our use of memes is funny, although sometimes you are just too chronically online and you just start stimming to some niche audio that no one else gets and you ask everyone if they know it so you don’t seem crazy. Your love for drama and instigation is also really funny even if you are wrong. Also we gotta do our BLM tiktoks. Imma miss you, I hope I see you again at UIUC and see you doing great things, make sure to have that wingman routine down. Have fun in college and good luck bro.

To Anusha Saraf, I will you a better TikTok fyp. Your fyp is actually so buns and also please start replying to people on tiktok you are NOT a celebrity. However, your tiktoks are pretty funny. You are pretty cool and funny and I’m glad we became friends. Our jokes are funny and I’m glad we agree on certain views regarding relationships (ask me in person to clarify). Making that huge poster was pretty fun and you have just been a chill friend in general. Have fun at NYU, I’d be impressed if you keep that no outfit repeated streak, and make that perfectly curated IG page you are always talking about.

To Atmaj Shelar, I will you the ability to not talk to Waubonsee people. We all know why you shouldn’t. Other than that though, I am so so glad we ended up in the same AI class. I never expected to become good friends with you but I’m very grateful for the AI class that led us to sit at the same table. Everyday, I would see you playing some niche game, sorry doing the Kaggle comp, or I would randomly sing a song and you would sing with me, explain the lyrics, or show me another song. Your love for music has actually been pretty funny to me, it’s funny to think I talk about music with you when I don’t really listen to that music myself (even though I’m always singing in class). Don’t listen to the haters like Vishnu and Deen, we harmonize very well together. I think you are very cool and I’m happy every time I see you or we hang out. You have been a really cool friend and congrats on getting into Georgia Tech, you’re gonna go crazy I already know. I’m going to miss you but I hope we see each other again.

To Abbi Kinsland, I will you the red heart emoji with more suzz at college. We have been friends for a very long time, now that I think about it. You were pretty welcoming sophomore year and you were a cool upperclassmen to talk to, and didn’t just think of me as a sophomore. Your trolling is pretty stupid but I’ll let it slide cause I troll you too (sorry!). I am glad we became good friends through ICA and in general. Your loredropping is always interesting, even if there is genuinely so much and you just yap for hours. Also stop preying on sophs and getting into random situations for the plot. Playing basketball and soccer with you is also fun. I’m glad we became friends, trolling, hanging out, and ICA has been fun. Have fun in college and take your trolling and shenanigans over there.

To Ethan Hunt, I will you more paper towels that you can put on the floor before you… Ethan you are an very well rounded person, you are very smart, passionate, committed, and jubilant. You are pretty cool and mature when it comes to down to it, but otherwise you are an animal (in a funny way). You are always just doing something stupid but its good that you are so confident in your self. You and Molly’s passion for ICA is also something that inspires me and something that new board will be carrying on to next year. Thank you so much for a great 2 years in ICA I wish you the best of luck and have fun!

To Molly Federici, I will you more opportunities to meet Mormons. I don’t know what your obsession with them is but I won’t question it. You are such a cool, outgoing, and eccentric person. You get along with people very well and are very good at speaking, its genuinely a skill that I look up to. These skills are definitely going to take you far in life, and I know that you will do lots of good things with the platform you are given. Your energy and vibes are so unique and I know you will never let go of it and become someone boring. You and Ethan have also been a really great, fun but still mature, and serious leaders for ICA. Thank you so much for a great 2 years in ICA and I hope you have a great time in college and do great things!

To Kennedy Su, I will you a peaceful life. It seems like everyday you have a new crazy thing that has happened. But I’m still glad you tell us, you have been a pretty chill upperclassmen and I’m glad I had classes with you. BC 2 and 3 has been fun with you even though it was lowkey a fried experience. I also will you some better attendance, you genuinely were NEVER in class first semester and just skipped second semester. But regardless, I know you are going to have a fun time in college being performative and pulling the ABGs. Have fun and good luck!

To Vishnu Vijay and Harish Chandar, I will you another Tamil boy in college to annoy you guys. You guys have been a great presence around campus, people I could talk to in Tamil (I swear its not as bad as you guys think it is). Thank you for letting me hang out in your guys room and just relax or helping me with Compu Sci. Vishnu, having AI with you has been fun, thanks for putting up with me and my trolling. You are also mad artistic and what you do is cool. Also thanks for putting me on with stuff, you have been pretty helpful and I appreciate you. You are a very unique person, don’t lose your spark. Harish, you are a very chill and genuine person, thanks for the CompuSci help, and also when you do say something its always funny. Have fun and good luck in college!

To Aadi Mehta, I will you less paranoia. Sorry for coming into your room just to deceive you lmao, but you are locked for senior assassin, hope you win. You’re very chill and always been cool w me and down to do wtv. Remember to always get ice cream for yourself when your girl wants some. Have fun in college and good luck!

Back to Top | Back to Index

Cassandra Marvitz

To Blake, I will you the doubly charged Higgs boson. I had to concentrate on this one because it was between choosing the Higgs boson, a sign that says “Talk to me about clubs!”, unlimited sushi by the pound, a Troye Sivan costume, rogaine (I’m sorry for this one in advance), and finally, a well-needed break. I’ve depended on you so much for Student Council this year that I actually don’t know what’s going to happen when you’re at Harvard and not here to give advice…but I guess I’ll just read that book you’re always talking about :) Speaking of advice, best believe we will be staying in contact when August 1st rolls around this year! I’m so glad Lucas and I volunteered for the Archive Project because I don’t think anyone else could have done a better job of introducing us to IMSA. I’ll always remember you as the best pres ever, and I can’t wait to tell stories about you to the sophomores next year like you did this year for Maggie DiMarco!! Don’t worry, I won’t tell them about your secret collection of toe socks…Anyways, I hope that THE big kahuna, Blake Gregory Hennings, enjoys these next four years and comes to visit us sometimes!!

To Caden, I will you a dry t-shirt. I still feel bad about spitting water on you during the tortilla slap game at IASC! Thank you for being an awesome lead facilitator (for the entire year) and for always sharing your snacks with me! It was really nice to meet Tumeric and your mom when we went to Chicago and I definitely think you should buzz your hair like we were talking about on the train back. Have so much fun at Emory and don’t be a stranger!!

To Molly, I will you to never have to run from the floor again for IASC. You’re just one of those people that can do anything they set their mind to, and I admire that so much about you. You are such a core part of IMSA that I genuinely can’t imagine next year without you. Thank you so so much for talking to me during my Shadow Day (even though you seriously don’t remember this) and for moving me in on the first day of sophomore year. Keep in touch and I hope you get to play a lot of Skyrim over the summer!!

To Amada, I will you a million rebondir facon fous’ from an upperclassman just as funny and inspiring as you. From sitting in the corner of Horowitz to laughing during prom together, you’ve genuinely become my favorite senior on this campus. I’m going to miss you so so much when you leave for S(D)SU and I really don’t know how I’m going to survive next year without you sitting at my French table. The first time I met you I thought you were so intimidating and cool, but little did I know that you’re secretly a FURRY…if you’d have told me last semester that the trade senior asking for belly rubs would turn out to be one of my best friends this semester, I would’ve told you to il faut rebondir. I know everyone at bop university is going to absolutely love you, so I hope you find someone to separate your curls, give you head pats, feed you mangonada, walk you to dance practice, larp being Hispanic with you, and all the other inside jokes we’ve made in the past six months. I’ll hold you to that reunion in the middle of nowhere, Bakersfield. Don’t forget about your family back in Illinois (me and Quinn) and come visit us sometime!!

To Aimanohi, I will you a new pair of Beats headphones and all the Baja Blast you want! I remember when I first met you I thought you were a really cool sophomore…but hey! That just speaks to your awesome personality and youthful glow. Thanks for always offering to go to the gym with me and making me laugh during satire. Don’t be a stranger!

To Brooke, I will you a bald spot. Seriously. There’s only room for one curly head around here… but I guess now that you’re graduating it’ll be okay. I’ll miss you hair twin!

To Lucy, I will you to get some much needed R&R this summer! I just know that you have so much ahead of you in life. Between planning Chasing Equity, prom, and so many SCC events, you’re iconic. Thank you for always giving me little tidbits of advice in the MHD lounge, or during IASC, or during NSLDC. I will always remember you as standing on business! I said this before but don’t be a stranger and I hope you have the best time in DC!!

To Eleanor, I will you the tiniest golden retriever puppy you’ve ever seen. Now multiply the feeling you get when you see it 10x. That’s the feeling I get when I see you on campus with Juliene and Mason. I am so grateful that I got to know you better when we were lab partners because otherwise I’d be missing out on all the funny stuff that you do! Who else would I rizz up every S&E? Who else would sit in the MHD lounge armchairs watching South Park every chance they get? Who else would rub their BARE FEET all over Mason Pattanaik during 10 check? I love you simpleton, never change! Come visit me and Juliene sometime.

To Mason, I will you a really cool pair of sunglasses, a stick, and a long fur coat. Maybe some gold chains and a fedora while I’m here. You’re probably thinking, why in the world would Cassie will me those specific items? Well, allow me to explain…yup that pretty much sums it up. I’ll always remember you and the fun times we shared together this year! Whether it was saying hi to you in the MHD lounge through varying methods, bullying you at ten check, or twirling your hair into little curls with Juliene, I will never forget how hard you made me laugh. Le Mason James, Superman, pimpleton, thanks for being such a great friend!! Love you and you better not block me on Instagram after you graduate!!

To Ethan, I will you as many bottles of Squirt as you want. And maybe some better curtains in your dorm too. Thanks for always bringing the personality to the Communications + Chem Society meetings!! I’ll try not to forget all the variants of a fist bump that you’ve taught me and Quinn. My first impression of you was during move-in my sophomore year with Brent Rodrigo, and I remember two things stood out to me right away. One was, of course, your millennial lesbian haircut, but the other thing was how friendly and helpful you were! Thanks for being my inspiration on how to be a great upperclassmen, and I hope UIUC treats you well!!

To Damaris, I will you a shower bar strong enough to do pull-ups on. Thanks for being one of my first friends at IMSA and for your amazing contributions to our satire class :)

To Charlotte, I will you so many great runs in college! Thank you for being such an inspiring upperclassmen on the cross country team. I genuinely think that I wouldn’t have continued the season as long as I did if it wasn’t for you, so thank you!!

To Tatiana, I will you someone to draft Instagram posts and share food with. It brings me so much joy when I see you walking into the wing with food because I know that you’re always down to share!! I hope college treats you well and we stay in touch!!

To Kate, I will you this will, if that makes any sense. I’m so grateful that you were in my choir class first semester sophomore year, because who else would be able to sit through Mrs. Coster’s antics with a straight face? Good luck with NROTC and best believe I’ll be reaching out for advice in August!

To Dani, I will you an absolute miracle…an A+ in French III with Monsieur. You deserve it. I am so glad I sat down with Marina that first semester because I was able to meet you! You’re one of the coolest girls I know and I hope you have the best time when you leave IMSA <33

To Eric, I will you an endless supply of honey osmanthus oolong boba tea. The first time I talked to you at NSLDC was genuinely a fever dream but one of the best things I remember was how friendly and outgoing you were! Thank you for always bringing the energy to our Studco meetings, especially when we all knew you were overcommitted with CAB!! Modphys with you, Henry, Sameer, TJ, Michelle, and Lucas was seriously one of the funniest classes I’ve taken so far at IMSA. I hope that Yale treats you so well during your Ethics, Politics, & Economics and Art History major!!! Blake says that you are THE person to ask for college advice, so best believe I might be reaching out to you soon…or not. I’ll miss you Eric!

Back to Top | Back to Index

Cassius Amegashie-Caref

To Caden Tam, I will you more time to care about yourself(and ABGs). Caden, you have been one of the most goated seniors this year. Emory is so lucky to have you studying chemistry and your presence. You always make an effort to check in on me and make sure I’m doing alright. I remember the early days of Studco and Spanish class last semester. I feel like us getting close to you really helped me get through this school year. Thank you so much for taking me to prom and being one of my best friends. You have worked so incredibly hard this school year and have been so involved. Take college as an opportunity to cool off, bro. You have earned some time to worry about yourself and not 90 clubs and people. I am so proud of you and excited to see how you avoid peanuts and enjoy ATL.

To Aditya Tiwari, I will you to keep being the perfect combo of brainrot and deep conversation. Adi, you have been my greatest role model in being an RSL and a good person on campus. You are always there for your friends and genuinely care deeply about them in a way that I can’t say about many people at IMSA. One thing that has always stuck out to me about you is how diverse your ideas are. You are so knowledgeable and interested in so many things, and I am so happy that you are going to Duke, where you can pursue all your niche interests. I have always admired your ability to switch from benign, serious, and thoughtful to being brain-rotted and funny. Don’t lose that. You always find a way to cheer me up when I am feeling down, no matter how you do it, so please keep being who you are. Thank you so much for showing me what it’s like to actually care about this community (05), and I can’t wait to see what you’ll do.

To Sumaer Gupta, I will you appreciation for everything you do. Sumaer, I just want to let you know how much you mean to me and how proud I am of you. You have been my #1 inspiration at IMSA, and I enjoy your presence so much. I remember being a scared sophomore and asking you questions about Studco and being J@L. I will maintain your legacy long after you leave Sumaer. Thank you so much for being my friend and being there for me. Your energy and hypeness is infectious, and I love listening to music with you. Sumaer, even if you feel like you’ve been screwed over, think about the hand you were dealt with this and all the challenges and hoops you have jumped through. Don’t forget that there are people like me who are proud of what you do. I wish I could give you infinite gifts to show how much I appreciate you.

To Amada Garcia and Cindy Gonzalez, I will you to find a new ray of sunshine in college. You two are some of the funniest people I know, and every time I talk to you guys, there is always something to laugh about. Amada, even though you weren’t reelected, your work on Studco really inspired me in my sophomore year, and the way you laugh and are uniquely yourself always makes me smile. Cindy, you are so kind and genuine, while also being funny, and even though you’re never in class, the hub is always better when you’re in it. I also wanted to give you guys an infinite DoorDash gift card, but then I remembered what you guys say about Lorenzo and me. I hope you guys find people who bring you joy like us in college. Don’t forget that joy exists and stay yourselves. You guys are some of the most unique and so yourselves, please don’t lose that.

To Blake Hennings and Eric Lee, I will you an Ivy League Heated Rivalry. Seriously, guys, congratulations on going to Harvard and Yale. That is an insanely huge deal. As two of the most important student leaders on this campus, you two deserve it more than anything. Blake, your passion for Studco has inspired me throughout the year, and it’s made me think about what type of pres/vp I want to be(if I get elected lol). Your love for physics, food, and Intramural sports reminds me to stay passionate about life. Eric, your positive energy and events you put on with CAB have sparked some of the highlights of my IMSA Career. You also make me laugh with whatever lingo you’re using this week and your bluntness in meetings. I know that the Harvard-Yale rivalry will be intense between you guys. I already know there’s gonna be random trash talk and way too much pride over football games. Honestly, it’s kinda funny that IMSA somehow managed to send two of its biggest personalities straight into one of the oldest college rivalries out there. The Ivy League truly doesn’t know what it’s getting into with you, two. Don’t lose your passions when you’re at those big schools, and don’t get lost in the pool of smart kids. Stand out in a crowd and be yourselves.

To Tony Han, I will you to be proud of yourself. Tony, regardless of what you think of yourself, I believe you are one of the smartest people I know. I remember going into the C wing commons during sophomore year and talking to you about whatever work you were doing and just having a genuine conversation with you. Even if you didn’t know it, those conversations really helped me destress after long days and made me feel welcomed into the 05 community. Every time I talk to you, it seems like you do. But your capabilities and who you are, who cares what anyone else thinks of you, or if your college is not prestigious, or your grade isn’t high enough? All that does not take away from the fact that you are an icon, you are smart, and you are a genuinely good person and friend. You are going to do big things, stop worrying about everything, and remember that 6 friends are better than 6 As.

To Victor Fernandes, I will you less stress. Relax, Victor, your SSS of CAB events, AD Chem 2, and other bad things is finally over. The first time we really talked was during the IASC trip. I remember actually becoming your friend and enjoying learning about you and creating our handshake. Victor, you are so kind, and you are such a genuine person who deserves the world. Take the break you deserve. You have worked so hard, so I need you to relax and end the doom and despair. I also know you will find your person in college, no matter who that is. The age of Victor is coming, and I am so excited to see it.

To BSU of Present and Past (Tyler Rush, Fedora Noya, Immaculate Nalule-Mugagga, Aubri Richardson, Mariah Christmas, Benicet Konan), I will you Black Excellence. I’m so proud of all of you and your college decisions because you guys are genuinely going places. Every one of you has shaped my experience in BSU and helped make IMSA’s Black community feel like home to me. Seeing upperclassmen lead with confidence, passion, and pride made me want to do the same for the younger students coming in after us. I hope the underclassmen continue the legacy you all helped build and keep pushing BSU to be an even stronger community. “Don’t you ever forget that being Black is an honor, because you come from greatness.”
To Sonya Patel, I will you infinite whimsy and joy. Sonya, I love how happy you are about life. Whether you’re posting random stuff on your story, yapping about anything and everything, or goofing around in Spanish class, you’re always living life to the fullest and enjoying it. You’re going to be the best lawyer ever, and I can’t wait to see you embrace your inner Jeff Winger (just don’t get disbarred).

To my 05 RSLs I haven’t mentioned already (Nathan Handjojo, Raj Patel, Maneth Perera, Aryan Mansingh, Deen Kareem), I wish you a vibrant community like the one of 05 in college. 05 would not be the same without all of you being there to help make events happen and run this hall. I remember the Casino Nights of sophomore year, the potlucks this year, and all the programming we’ve been forced to run. We are always finding ways to make 05 great and make this family feel like home. I hope that in college you find a community like 05 and have just as much fun as we did.

To Molly Federici, I will you to stay funny. Molly, you are one of the funniest people I know, and you always make me smile when I talk to you. Northwestern is so lucky to have you, and I am so excited for you to experience such a good school. Keep telling jokes and being the funniest person in the room.

Back to Top | Back to Index

Charlie Tillotson

To Adi Tiwari, I will you a record of “Streets of Bolingbrook”. I’m really glad we were able to get close in Mexico, and I really wish I hadn’t been a goon all last year and reached out before our trip, but even then that was one of the most amazing times ever. Bonding with you after check in wing commons was also great, and seeing you scroll and do anything but work was also funny asl. Our functions in B wing will always be in my best memories.

To Angel Castillo, I will you lots of tattoos. You’re very emotionally intelligent and always know what to say, and your tats are one of the things that make you yourself, especially after hearing the meanings behind them. Playing 8 ball in class and doing anything but pay attention in Gender Studies was fun asl, and all the advice you’ve given me will always stick with me through all the decisions I make. Mexico witchu was also really fun, and hanging out on your balcony to look at the sky and talk before going to bed was always great after a long day. You will always be one of the people I look up to most.

To Blake Hennings, I will you lots of functions in Boston with your Harvard friends. I also will you the ability to write as any essays as you want and make poetry. You’ve always been one of the people I looked up to ever since we got placed in the same wing last year, and even though we didn’t talk much, I always saw you working hard and rushing around to all your meetings. The advice you gave me after check when everyone was sleeping and we were hanging out in wing commons was always super helpful, and I’m very thankful you helped me see the flaws in the way I thought about things. You are one of the best role models I could’ve asked for and all long paragraphs and essays we wrote were also very entertaining. Thank you for being someone I was always able to come to in the middle of the night.

To Kennedy Su, I will you big muscles so you can get lots of ABGs and matcha. Every day, I’m so glad that you asked me because I could not have asked for a better big sib. You always helped me with my various questions about IMSA culture and helped me acclimate here. Even beyond that, you made me feel like IMSA was home. You’re so comforting, funny, and so much fun to just talk to and crash out with, and I’m so grateful for every memory we made together. Crashing out about random teachers (cough cough LE1 and 20th cent…) has been so much fun and I’m really gonna miss that. I know you need a lot of sleep in college (because we know you dont do much here) so I will you many many MANY restful nights with no stress about assignments or grades. I genuinely dont know what my years at imsa would’ve looked like without you, so thank you for being here for me. Thank you for always listening to my random rants and making me feel understood. College better prepare itself for your naps, your crash outs, and your ability to somehow survive academically while doing the bare minimum. I love you!

To Eric Lee, I will you unlimited doordash, because I feel like I almost always see you eating. When I think of who I want to be at IMSA, I always think of you. I’m gonna start glazing here, but you are genuinely one of the most impressive people on campus. You’re locked on school, locked in extracurricular activities, and you’re so much fun to be around. Honestly, I don’t know how you manage to balance everything so well while still being such a chill and approachable person. I feel like a lot of people look up to you, whether they say it out loud or not, because of how hardworking and driven you are. At the same time, you never make people feel intimidated talking to you, and I really appreciate that. Every interaction I’ve had with you has been funny, memorable, or somehow both at the same time. IMSA genuinely won’t feel the same without you around next year. Thank you for being someone that people can look up to while still making everyone feel comfortable and included. I know you’re going to do amazing things in college, and don’t forget us when you become famous!

To Jessica Jiang, I will you endless success, supportive people, and many peaceful nights without deadlines. Being on ASIA with you this year has been so much fun, and I’m so thankful for everything you’ve done for me, the club, and everyone in it. You created a welcoming atmosphere by being so nice, helpful, and encouraging. You’ve made ASIA feel so much less intimidating for me and a lot more fun. IMSA won’t feel the same without you, but I know you’re going to continue doing incredible things wherever you go. Thank you so much for everything. I’m going to miss you so much.

To Helen Shao, I will you permanent aura and endless success. I am so glad that you hit me up on DISCORD to warn me about dating korean dudes (ahem…look at how that turned out) because I would not have realized how chill you were then. Even during my time on ASIA board, I continue to see how much fun you are. You always bring such a funny and relaxed energy everywhere you go, but you know when we have to lock in. I really admire how involved and hardworking you are while still somehow maintaining your aura at all times. You genuinely made ASIA board and IMSA feel a lot more welcoming and fun, and I’m really grateful I got the chance to know you this year.know you’re going to do amazing things in college, and I hope life gives you everything you deserve: success, happiness, good food, and freedom from weird men forever. Thank you so much for everything. I’m going to miss you so much.

To Kate Honchar, I will you a very healthy life with loads of fun. I feel like whenever i see you before practice, you’re always with the trainer. I think that’s so cool, because it shows your dedication to the team and the sports you play. These past 2 years playing basketball with you have been so fun, and I know I say this a lot, but you’re a big role model for me. I’ve always looked up to your work ethic, determination, and the way you support the people around you. Whether it was during practices, games, or just random moments in the gym, you helped make basketball so much more enjoyable for me. Thank you for being such an important part of my IMSA experience, and I know you’re going to do amazing things in college!

To Abbi Kinsland, I will you unlimited fun and energy in college. These past 2 years have been so amazing when I played basketball with you. You somehow made even the most exhausting practices feel fun, and I’m really grateful I got the chance to play alongside with you. One thing I’ve always admired about you is how passionate you are whenever you step onto the court, but you still have fun! You push yourself so hard but you also encourage everyone to do better too. Our team wouldn’t be the same without you. Thank you for all the laughs, advice, gossip sessions, and everything you’ve brought. It’s going to be really weird not seeing you at practices or games next year, but I know you’re going to do amazing wherever life takes you.

To Aditiya Tiwari, I will you a great SCIA event (finally) . You have been an amazing president for one of the most chill and fun clubs on campus. I’m so glad that you gave me this great opportunity, and I promise to not let you down! I WILL run this great SCIA event next year (and maybe even invite you) and make SCIA more known. Thank you so much for being such a funny person to talk to but still super locked (like how do you know all these fun IMSA facts). I know you will do great things in college, so have fun!

To Kayleen Yoo, I will you unlimited food and an amazing roommate in college. Although I don’t know if I should will you unlimited food because I already feel like you have unlimited food (I’m so jealous). In all honesty, I did not expect to have you as a roommate, but it’s been so chill and I’m really glad it worked out the way it did. You always made the room feel comfortable and easygoing, and I really appreciated that as a junior suffering through second semester. Thank you for being such a considerate and laidback roommate (especially when I played Valorant or when I was on the phone) and helping make IMSA feel more like home. I know you’re going to do amazing in college, and I hope your future roommate is just as good as you were!

To Anaika Bhagta, I will you many Zuko and Nightwing edits and unlimited ramen. Last year, I heard about you and was like “oh, okay so she’s a senior,” and that was it. I just knew you went here. However, having you in my wing has been one of the best times ever. Whether it was late-night conversations, laughing at people doing hall cleanings, and even just hanging out for a bit during 10-check, you’ve honestly become one of the people I’ll remember most. I’ll also remember how you always asked me for ramen… But other than the many ramen packs I’ve given you, you have helped me so much throughout this whole year, and I know you will do great in college. Dylan and I both are very fond of you, so hit us up at any time, we would love to keep in touch :))

To Louis Chen, I will you a violin. I think you should pursue music more, you’re quite very good. I also want to add that you are my favorite IMSA pickleball player. Someday, I will also be low cortisol like you.

To Aditya Tiwari, I will you your own Skyblock foraging setup. I still have it, sir :p. I also would like to will you my gratitude for your assistance as a mentor. You have enlightened me in many ways, but most notably, you showed me how much a man could love pens. I enjoyed sharing Spanish class with you, and I’m glad you had enough credits to graduate this year!

To Victor Fernandes, I will you a giant art canvas and all the colors you’ll ever want or need, so you can express yourself fully and I can witness your greatness. I enjoyed all the time we spent together this year, from welcome week hangouts to times you passed down your wisdom, every second was worth it. Thank you for everything!

To Angel Castillo Campa, I will you a Fornite battle pass. Even though I’ve never touched the game, I really enjoyed hearing your pursuits and victories in Fornite during 10 check. I want to thank you profusely, though, for all the advice and time you spent with me. Your company always helped me, and so I would like to thank you for all you’ve done for me.

To Saroj Chilakuri, I will you 5 million hot sauce packets. Hopefully this will help you digest oily foods. I really enjoyed spending this year with you, I’ll definitely miss you and your Dr. Peppers.

To Eric Chen, I will you a proper graduation. Don’t worry though, I’ll enjoy seeing you next year, my super-senior.

To Tony Han, I will you a new deck of cards. I hope that you will use these cards to hit it very big someday, since you already are a part of that 1%. I also wanted to wish you 8 hours of sleep. Thank you for all of your advice.

To Dominic Tous, I will you a scoop of the Oberweis marshmallow and wildberry flavors. On a side note, you were such a cool violist, and I’ll miss your presence in Symphonic.

To Vishnu Vijay, I will you a disco ball. Not only did you have the moves, but you also were my favorite LEAD facilitator. You made it easy to have high energy in your class :) Have fun in Connecticut (if you’re going there) and don’t forget me when you’re a billionaire please.

To Aarav Shah, I will you a Costco membership card. Thank you for MAO advice, I don’t know if I put it to good use but it was nonetheless great advice. I wanted to give you a Costco membership card (even if you already have one) so to an extent, you always will have access to buying laptops such as your own.

To Katherine Jiang, I wish you a dog plushie. Have fun in Texas, I hope next time we talk, you’ll have gained a southern accent.

To Haydn Chan, I will you many squishy plushies, like cute ducks. I also want to thank you for your handshakes, they helped reset my hand to factory settings.

To Venkataashish Gogineni, I will you a soccer ball that you can will to Ian Wang. You da goat my goat.

To Abhilash Polu, I will you an IMSA tennis jersey. You really rocked the outfit, and even if I haven’t seen you play, you are the #1 tennis player in my heart. Lexington next year will feel very empty without you. I wish you the best!

To Andrew Bae, Aarav Lala, and Laksh Patel, I will you all a stapler. You guys would probably find something entertaining to do with such an item.

To Harrison Jang, I will you a pack of Buldak ramen. I think your reaction would be especially interesting.

To Drew Wang, I will you a piece of paper, because you’re tear-iffic.

To Roy Wang, I will you more performances at Carnegie Hall. I understand you might be a little far (since you’re going to Stanford), but you always have to remember your roots right? I also will you an infinite amount of Nerds Gummy Clusters of any variety you wish upon. No need to slow down with all that aura chasing you. And just remember, IMSA will always admire you from the bleachers (just like we did during Clash).

Back to Top | Back to Index

Dhruv Ravinuthala

To Aditya Tiwari, I will you blue industrial food dye. Honestly, there’s not really any way to put into words how grateful I am to have met you at IMSA. From going to Chicago for 05 movie to the countless 05 events, this school is definitely going to be a lot different without you. I would write everything I could think of to glaze you, but I don’t think the Acronym would want to have to publish an article for just this specific will. Have fun at Duke! The 05 RSL team will miss you a lot, using Tiwari for All ourselves is going to take some work.

To Sumaer Gupta, I will you another trip to Chinatown. You’ve been the best big sib I ever could have had, and IMSA probably would have been a lot scarier for me as a soph without you. I’m going to miss having you in Mandarin class (btw please let me know if any of Zhang Laoshi’s friends actually call you). Have fun in college!

To Maneth Pererra, I will you the independence of British Ceylon, and for both you and Paul Ratasuk, I will another underclassman to sleep on your floor. Both of you are amazing people and have made my IMSA experience memorable, to say the least. Staying up late in your guys’ room is probably also one of the only reasons I’m passing my classes. Have a great time in college (and Maneth, just because you’re leaving doesn’t mean I’m going to stop stealing your Frescas).

To Nathan Handjojo, I will you a pen butterfly knife. I’m going to miss the endless trolling I receive from you weekly, and our many Indomie trades (Hopefully I can find someone half as obsessed with it as you are). Have fun in college!

To Tony Han, I will you a feature on Epic Rap Battles of History, and a new fedora. 05 isn’t going to be the same next year without you, and neither is the quizbowl team. Please let me know if you ever make any more diss tracks, I would love to hear them. Have fun in college!

To Arya Biss, I will you someone in college that will listen to your opinions for long extents of time. I’m going to miss hearing you yap for minutes on end, and also your immediate first-lining of tossups about some random representative in Nebraska. Have fun in college!

To Jade Go, I will you a print copy of Wikipedia. Talking to you about random niche bio has been really cool, and I’m going to miss it a lot. I’ll let you know if I ever break your 500-hour record on Wikipedia, though I doubt it’ll happen. Also, please let me know if you ever finish making my bingo board. Have fun in college!

To Liam Ellingson, I will you another ladle to eat pho with. I’m going to miss having someone to coach me in Bedwars in person (though I still will be harassing you online). It’s also going to suck losing one of the few kids that do 4-H at this school. Hopefully you lock in and become the greatest minecraft player of all time in college, or a character in Steel Ball Run idk. Have fun in college!

Back to Top | Back to Index

Dominic Zhu

To Maneth Perera, I will you lots of AI-generated images. You (unintentionally?) helped me realize that not everyone’s talk about me is necessarily true, or harmful. It was also nice knowing you more deeply during the second semester. I’m sure that one day, you will be creating lots of images of your friends. I also know that you’ll be a welcoming, supportive leader.

To Nathan Handjojo, I will you a college residence hall just like 1505. Maybe that’s why I adapted so quickly to IMSA: because 1505 is the most supportive, spirited hall that also loves birthdays. I won’t forget all the advice you gave sophs during their first days. I’m sure you’ll remain an influencer in college who energizes his residence hall. IMSA was really lucky to have you. Also, I promise to be more involved in clash next year.

To Vishnu Vijay, I will you another little sib in college. I should’ve talked to you a lot more than I did. Or maybe I didn’t need to because you made the IMSA transition effortless. After that first day, when I had dinner and chatted with you about teachers, I immediately knew that you’re one of the most passionate, supportive, and smartest seniors at IMSA. I think you’ll make college easier for many students, as soon as next year.

To Luke Yin, I will you a converging lens. Next year, while you’re unsupervised, you should zoom in on the paper in front of you. You made me look forward to S&L every week, and also offered a ton of useful advice. You’re genuinely a funny person to be around, and I know it won’t be long before you’re having fun and replicating college students’ lab sheets. Getting to know you second semester might have been the highlight of my year.

To the IMSA Quizbowl seniors, I will you more tossups and bonuses. Next year, I’m sure I’ll be more involved. Thanks for teaching me Anki – genuinely a study GOAT.

To any unmentioned senior who influenced my sophomore year, I will you an apology. I can’t remember everyone who has helped make IMSA enjoyable, but I know all of you will quickly become leaders wherever you go.

Back to Top | Back to Index

Dweny Geeth

To Lucy Ferron, I will you math textbooks, German classes, and lots of vegan food. You are one of the most hardworking and kindest people I know. It’s been wonderful getting to know these past two years. I cherish the time we spent practicing speaking in German, going on walking trips, and discussing future plans. I will miss our conversations about MVC and everything else. I hope you have an amazing time at UIUC and I know you are going to go on to do awesome things. Maybe we will finally manage to meet during one of our breaks…fingers crossed!

To Jade Go, I will you access to all the pathology textbooks in the world. Thank you for being a great SciOly partner and for all your advice about classes. I will miss studying for Microbe Mission and Disease Detectives together. You are so passionate about learning and I wish you all the best in your college journey and beyond!

To Hailey Reuter, I will you many more Biology classes. Thank you for guidance about CSI. I really enjoyed our spontaneous conversations about our classes, summer plans, and life in general. You always have such a cheery outlook on things. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors!

To the 01 C wing seniors, I will you many more movie nights. Thank you for creating such a welcoming and supportive environment. Thank you for all that you did this year, and good luck in your future endeavors.

To the senior SciOly captains, I will you many more SciOly practices and lots of science knowledge. Thank you for leading a great season, and engaging practices. This season was so much fun, and I enjoyed every moment of it.

To all of the graduating seniors, I will you lots of sleep and future success. Keep in touch!!

Back to Top | Back to Index

Eric Barajas

To Aarav Lala, I wish you indefinite banishment from CMU’s art department.

To Karthik Prasad, I will you infinite squishes. I guess I didn’t know what to will you (I think you have enough), but you were the first person to talk to me at IMSA about math, and to be honest, you’re what drove me to have some passion doing it. Karthik Prasad is THE blueprint for being a disciplined student, and i’ll be spending a lot of my time bettering myself because of you. Also I’m sending you my college essays and you can’t say no.

To Roy Wang, I will you a better conductor. To my favorite Carnegie Hall clarinetist, you deserve another Rhapsody in Blue, and I wish that you conquest every club at Stanford like you have at IMSA. You have too much aura so I really don’t know what to will you. Roy wang has won.

To Jacob Plotnick, I will you my portable chess set. I remember meeting you at last year’s carnival playing big chess, and I haven’t gotten to see how good you are at chess, but I HAVE seen your mathematical ability!! Keep mogging at Uchicago, and take my portable chess board of questionable quality. you are just enthusiastically witty.

To Aditya Tiwari, I will you indefinitely many Brawl Stars match carries. I’m trying to get to Masters, but I’ll always be here if you need to push trophies. Besides that, I know that you’re the biggest leader I know, and all the reasons why probably would not fit here. The glaze you get from your teachers is incredibly justified. duke’s not gonna know what hit em

To Tony, I will you nothing but success. A lot of the time, you’ve offered me so many opportunities for help with math camp apps, emails, and I remember your pestering to get my stuff done. You’re a bigger role model than you think, because in certain ways I see you as one. keep being tony, tony. i won’t forget you.

To Haydn Chan, I will you someone’s dad’s quant internship. I’m probably not in the position to will you this, but you’re the smartest person who plays videogames all the time that I’ve seen (no seriously WHAT were those adtop test grades). Hopefully, I get to see you in Romania this summer, so this won’t be the last time I’ll be in person with you. Jane Street calls for you, Haydn. Oxford should be salty.

To Paul Watson, I will you the ability to be a self-taught legend. Being in both the jazz and wind ensemble with you has been an honor, especially when the both of us would be scrolling during practice and prancing around 03. with you, I feel that the band actually has some purpose and isn’t completely lifeless; I think I’d rather be listening to you conduct songs for 8 mods instead of 1 in our original band… oh heck yeah paul you’re the goat

To Luke Yin, I will you 21.6 million Thomas Lius. As the tuffest tennis player at IMSA, I feel that you deserve an army to help you switch to a math major at Princeton.

To Drew Wang, my favorite fuzzy meatball, I will you infinite PRs. May this fuzzy meatball grow exponentially in size, because I know you will mog UIUC. I remember the first time I met you at that fateful tennis match 2 years ago where you and Harrison started hitting tweeners on me. I still don’t forgive you for that, but I wish you nothing but the best.

To Maneth Perera, I will you the ability to win against Karthik Prasad when you guys wrestle in class. I feel that Karthik has an unfair advantage sometimes, and I think he deserves some squishing once in a while. Find him once you graduate and take what was righteously yours.

To nathan handjojo, I will you the biggest Steam family Steam has to offer. I think you’re noticably the biggest gamer that I’ve seen, especially since literally everywhere I go you’re on some game. May you and Haydn frolic around in the plethora of games that you have.

To Shomak Tan, I will you the use of your potential. I feel like doing this activates a 2nd Terence Tao, because I know I’ve seen you get a decent grade in AdTop homeworks that you worked on for only 2 hours. Also, you breeze through competition math like it’s nothing. shomak, you’re the treasure i’m summoning…

To Venkataashish Gogineni and Jeev Hora, I will you both the nichest reels Instagram has to offer. Cramming classes during 6th mod while having visual stimulation on the big screen (reels from Ven, Garry’s Mod from Jeev) in the IRC is usually the funniest part of my day. Jeev, you’re most likely the first junior that I talked to last year, and I remember your pen-spinning skills and your wardrobe of jeans and flannel shirts. I will you those.

To Eric Lee, I will you all the aura I have left. I thought it would be funny if we had Erics willing other Erics.

To Jade Go, I will you some fun in college. I still recall the Zoom meetings we both had in our geometry class when I was in 8th grade. I wish you could’ve seen my cat in person, but I think that you should give yourself an awesome, fun break. I’ve interacted with you a lot and haven’t even noticed it, and it kinda freaks me out how many Wikipedia links you have on standby. You deserve a break from all the things you do. Be free!

Back to Top | Back to Index

Eric Chen

To the Senior CABaddies, I will Eric Lee the name Eric. We ended up doing so many of the same activities this year and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to look up to you in Bfriend, CAB, and Mod21, Leric! I will Molly Federici a large cardboard cutout of yourself. You are an amazing speaker and one of the funniest people I know. Never stop being you. To Ria, I will you a shirt from your alma mater. Working with you for all our Intramural sports and CAB activities has been amazing, and I’ve learned so much from you. Keep being an amazing ninja warrior and inspiring people. To Victor, I will you a rapid rustication from college. I’m really glad I got to see you cosplay Virus during Diwali. All the stuff we’ve done and art projects we’ve worked on are great memories of my time at IMSA and those late night talks with Saroj and Vidhan were some of the best days of first semester. Enjoy college and know that Junior CAB will carry on your guys’ legacy!

To Student Council and the Largest Senior, I will Blake Hennings a sparkly B-friend crop top. You were the greatest president at this school, and I’ve really enjoyed our Digi Lit class of doom and despair! I will Caden Tam a walk on access road. You were basically my father during sophomore year, and I’m sad to have left the wing. All those late-night talks meant a lot to me, and you were one of my favorite juniors in the wing! I will Sumaer Gupta a good big sib. You were one of the first seniors I ever knew of because of the Mrs. Gupta email we sent by mistake, but you’re a great guy and a great senior! Talking to you about your personal life really made me reflect a lot, and honestly, it helped me get through a lot of my own burdens, so thank you for that. You guys were a great student council, and I know you’ll all do great things!

To Abigail Kinsland, I will you cheesecloth and a Sunrise Surprise. This whole year has just been me senior LARPing, and I’m so glad you’ve been there the whole time. Making cheese, ISMA Lex Bar, and experiencing SRELO have been the greatest things I’ve done at IMSA. Thanks for being a (Abi)goat and redesigning my Insta for me! Make sure you learn the wo men ji song so you can impress the big PCA when you visit Dunlap!

To Kate Honchar, I will you a whole rotisserie chicken. Watching movies and going on the shopping trip that one I-day was the first trip I went on this semester, I think, and I really need that day icl ! I really enjoyed 10 Things I Hate about You (Heath Ledger def looks better than the model guy) and all the food we had. You’re a really cool senior in general, and lwk locked at basketball! Stay locked at college, and may you find many double rainbows after canceled practices in the future!

To Jade Go, I will you a ton of snacks. Genuinely, you’ve been an amazing event head, and your snacks are always so good. I feel kinda bad for stealing your food all the time, and I promise I’ll pay you back (probably) someday (hopefully). Aside from that, I remember competing with you in my sophomore year, and I’ve really looked up to you in A&P and seen you as more of a leader than yourself. Please don’t sell yourself short, and remember how many people care about you. I know you’ll become the youngest doctor in the world or something like that one day!

To Sonya Patel, I will you a spoonful of cinnamon. The cinnamon challenge and second mod Tuesdays are core memories of my IMSA experience. Aside from that, walking around with you and Adi during riddle, making cutouts for senior night, and stealing your speakers for every event (Thanks btw ) have been super fun, and I truly believe you are one of the most involved people with having fun and keeping campus fun! Keep being cool sonion!
To Charlotte Paquette: I will you Jawn, Frank & many bits for future weeks. Even though it’s senior year, I’ve always thought of you as those who are always doing work (Even if it’s a bit late) and still try. I can see it now. Ea-Nasir, 23 billion chickens & many, many dying ants were all fun to write about and brainstorm with you. You’ve been a great friend, and I’m glad we got to share so many esoteric inside jokes! Thank you, Charlotte, for being one of the top ten seniors oat and stay gleg in college!

To the Science Olympiad captains, Jonathan Hanjojo, Vivienne Uenuma, and Andrew Zhu, I will you first at state and Cornelius. You guys are the real ones and carried us all the way. Nathan, you are the real build boyo of all time, and have god-tier networking skills somehow. Vivienne, I hope you get all the printing access in the world at UIUC. I remember the struggles with printing, and you deserve better. Andrew, I’ve always remembered how locked you were in Chemistry. The event is kinda cooked now, but we’ll do our best to save it. Good luck to my fellow seniors in your future endeavors. Much love, and I hope to see you guys at state next year (Now that I’m not a captain, maybe Cornelius can come back, trust!

To Aditya Tiwari, I will you 100 million coins in Skyblock. I really love your personality and how much you contribute to the general fun and excitement of this community. The 101 things to do before graduation, all hall riddle (even though that never happened), and everything else we’ve talked about bring a smile to my face whenever I think of them. It pains me that we never got to hop on Skyblock this year, so we’ve gotta run it sometime this summer!

To Katherine Jiang, I will you boba from 9bar. You were one of the first seniors I met on campus, and your energy is infectious! I remember playing cards with you in 01 last year and talking about everything with you and Hari. Other than that, I inherited a lot from you as a Scioly captain. Codebusters, Cornelius, and a one-year timespan. Even though I wasn’t the best, I hope I made you proud! Keep being yourself even in college!

To my C wing Seniors, I will Saroj Chilakuri a new mouse. Seeing you and talking with you in the wing has been fun, and you’re one of the most generous people I know. I’m glad I got to live with you and steal lots of root beer from you! I will Angel a loudspeaker for any future endeavors. The slam poetry you delivered during Casa was the most powerful piece of art I’ve had the honor of hearing. You’ve been there for everything, and I can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate it. I will Griffin Sharp a ton of Love’s food. I still remember all the free salads and yogurts you blessed us with, and that genuinely kept me fed through cold nights when Lex sucked. You’re an amazingly positive guy, and your smile makes me a bit happier whenever I see you roaming around IMSA! I will Ari Bajaj a sheep in wolf’s clothing. That night we spent drawing was a lot of fun for me, and I’m glad I was able to help. I hope you keep drawing and remember to give me the food you promised me! To all my kings (and my queen Victor), I appreciate you guys more than you can know, and hope you all the best as you go from the oldest and wisest to the youngest!

To Kayleen Yoo, I will you some gnarly fried chicken. I think the first time I ever interacted with you was in my sophomore year when you came to get snacks from me after 10 check. Anyways, you’ve always been super tough when you’re dancing, and lwk inspired me to dance more in all the culture shows! Aside from that, I don’t know how we keep ending up in the same group for Spanish assignments, but it’s been a lot of fun trying to finish everything last-minute since we’re always (not) locked for that class. I think that photo by the flowers is the gnarliest photo I’ve taken at IMSA (other than Bfriend), and I’m glad I got to become better friends with you this year!

To Candy Baldensambu, I will you many architecture internships. You’re a very eccentric person with a lot of energy, which I respect a lot! You have some of the coolest art pieces and great cardboard-cutting skills, which I plan on honoring by making many life-sized cardboard cutouts for future events (Pls slide website link )! I know you’ll become a great architect one day, and I’m excited to see what kind of buildings you cook up for everyone to see!

To the Seniors of Spanish V, I will you all lots of Zafa to counter the Fuku. Even though class was a pain, it was always fun to mess around on projects. I’m thankful to have been in a class with such chill people. Even though it hasn’t happened yet, I’m sure our play will turn out great, and we’ll have a lot of fun (hopefully) while making it! Thank you for making 8th mod group projects bearable!

To Ethan Hunt, I will you plane tickets to LA. One of my favorite memories from sophomore year was seeing you do a nasty flip into the splits onstage during karaoke for CLASH. That was pretty auraful of you, and getting to know you better has been a ton of fun! You have so much positive energy and charisma that make it easy to talk to you! Best wishes to you in all your future endeavors!

To the squadron, I will Eleanor Hasty all the grass in the world. I think you’re pretty cool, and I’m glad I got to know you and watch you look for SIR plants in your big book of bio! Don’t forget Juju and me when you become a cool freshman at college!! I will Mason Pattanaik a pile of crowns. To this day, I still think your signature is so auraful, and I love it a ton. Have tons of fun in college and don’t worry, I’ll be here to annoy Juliene in your stead ! I will Laura Pepe a light that looks like the moon. You’re really nonchalant and locked in and cool and stuff! I remember that one time we were in the 03 study room, dying hair, and it was pretty chill eating my salad and (not) doing work! Keep up the hard work! I’ve seen your messages during your compusci grind (don’t ask me why I was also up then), and I know how dedicated you are. You’ll do great no matter what happens, and I’ve really enjoyed our conversations about random stuff, be it me showing you reels while you were driving, or talking about friends (and teachers who must not be named) from Neuqua, or even just making fun of Advait for his spelling. Good luck! And, send some reels my way please…

To Arya Biss, I will you a brain with automatic database-level knowledge of every politician in history. You’ve been a really entertaining Quizbowl co-captain, and I’m glad that I got to play alongside you during your time here. Take care!

To Haydn Chan, aka Quant Chan, I will you to stop randomly inviting me to 5-stack on CS2 with you. Please stop. Jokes aside, however, thank you for being such an entertaining and awesome friend to me. I’ve shared lots of fun moments with you, whether it be my sitting in on AdTop, or playing Putt Party on vc past midnight, or constantly making “I hardly know her!” jokes. Keep on working out, being absolutely cracked at math, and having fun. Don’t forget me when you get to Jane Street!

To Saroj Chilakuri, I will you an infinite supply of fun and entertaining games that you will never get bored of. I remember going on walks with you during first semester last year, and the funny moments we shared are something I will never forget. Even walking down the halls and saying “Hi ts!” every time we see each other, or randomly walking up to you and asking about what niche game you’re playing, every interaction we have is something that I’ve cherished. Stay in touch!!

To Victor Fernandes, I will you an 8-ball that, whenever you shake, gives you some positive affirmations. The struggle is real, and I know how rough it’s been lately. I just want you to know and understand that you’re enough, and that it’s going to be okay. You work so hard that not only is it bound to pay off, it’ll pay off tenfold. Keep up the hard work, keep pushing, keep believing, and reach out to me whenever you need something. I’m so happy we got to know each other and do fun things together (Cello! Walks! Caffeine!), and I hope we stay in touch after IMSA. Good luck, you got this!

To Ven Gogineni, I will you a fun time in London (has that even happened before…), where you can investigate your interests for however long you want to. Seriously, though, you’re one of the first IMSA people I met, and you’ve been both someone I can look up to and expect to give me great advice, as well as someone I can goof around with and do god knows what. I know how much passion you have, and I truly believe you’ll make great use of it. Also… I think it’s time you control what reels you like… stay in touch though! I believe in you :)

To Sumaer Gupta, I will you a textbook filled to the brim with “POV: Obama if he was [insert random object here]” memes. I know we haven’t really had that many in-depth conversations before, but I’ve really enjoyed all the little interactions we have every now and then. Please take care, stay in touch with me, and send me reels :).

To Tony Han, I will you a functional sleep schedule. Like seriously. You need it. A LOT. I also will you a to-do list to hopefully help you stay on top of things. I know it’s been hard and it may feel really rough more often than not, but I still believe in you a lot. All it takes is a few steps for it to become a habit, and I know you’re more than qualified to make good choices and decisions to help you prosper. Also, you’ve been a great quizbowl buddy as well, and even if you don’t play in college, I’m still grateful that I got to play with you at IMSA. Also, don’t let the overarching math lords take over your life, there’s a lot to experience! Stay safe, and talk to me whenever.

To Jeev Hora, I will you an Instagram feed that does not incriminate you to an insane extent. Those reels are lowkey quality sometimes, but uh it might not be the best decision to like all of them… you could send them to me though, I always welcome some new reels :D. I’d also like to thank you for being an amazing quizbowl team captain. I know how much you value this activity and how much time you dedicate towards it, and I’ll be happy even if I reach a level at least somewhat close to it. You’ve honestly been a role model, and it’s been great playing alongside you, witnessing you get some sick powers and pulls to win us so many games. Experiencing the glory of OOP and the amazing shenanigans that went along with it made my day better so many times, and it was truly jawdropping to see what you and your rain-noises would do each day. Good luck at UIUC! You’ll have a lot of fun there, I’m sure, but stay in touch with me.

To Aimanohi and Grace, I will you to send me amazing anime and manga recs whenever I ask for them, and to continue exploring the medium to discover new, amazing things. You guys have made Anime club such an amazing experience for me, and I’m really grateful I got to be a part of this year’s board. Sonit and I will have to work really hard to even try to come close to what you guys did, but hopefully we’ll make it work. Wish us luck, and stay in touch!

To the greatest big sib of all time, Jade Go, I will you the most high quality 3D printer created, a catalog of all the Russian literature in history, and a copy of “Semantics” by John Saeed. And a Choso plushie. When I was in waitpool limbo the summer before sophomore year, it was honestly you who was keeping me sane. And I’ll be forever grateful for that. Furthermore, you’re one of the coolest people I’ve ever met, with your fascination for things I could never get into, the passion you carry to pursue those things, and above all, the ability to help others find their way. Never lose that part of you, as it’s what makes you you. There have been so many times that you’ve been there for me as a big sib, and I really appreciate that. From just regular interactions to quizbowl to science olympiad, it’s been great having you as someone I can talk to about anything. I do want you to get some sleep though… not only do you need it, after these three years, you definitely deserve it. And, I’m so very proud of you for pushing yourself so hard as well. Doing all of this at your very best, especially as a supershmen (ur so young wtf), is something you should be proud of yourself for as well. If you need anything at all, let me know and I’ll be there! Use this summer to refresh as well, you deserve it. Stay in touch, goat!

To Katherine Jiang, I will you F1 tickets to the Austin Grand Prix; maybe then you can meet Kimi. It’s been great getting to know you since sophomore year, especially when I was in 01 and didn’t really know many people, so I’ll always be grateful for those study sessions in hall commons or random walks with no real purpose. Moreover, as my Earth and Space partner in Science Olympiad, it was really fun learning about random Astrophysics equations or identifying fossils together, and I genuinely enjoyed all the competitions we were partners for last year. Even though it didn’t really happen this year, I still used what I learned previously to try and work towards success, which I’ll always be grateful to you for. Also, ease up on the caffeine this summer please, it really does get to a point… stay in touch though, and good luck!

To Maneth Perera, I will you to hop on Entry Point whenever you can this summer, and we can run Ironman together. You’re the first IMSA student I really got to like actually know, and I’ve always been really thankful that it was you. Whether it was you reviewing one of my final projects during freshman year while you were a sophomore, or playing Roblox with me over that summer, there’s been no shortage of generational moments we’ve had together (dual fire alarm in 05 that one time last year…). You’ve also been someone I can talk to about lots of things both serious and funny, and having you as my RSL this year has been genuinely so fun. Also, thank you for the Frescas! They’ve saved my night a couple of times, and with the amount of people that run to you asking for them, I guess I should will you an eternal Fresca supply. Please keep in touch with me, I enjoy talking to you a lot! Good luck at UIUC, keep me updated on whatever fun textbook you’re reading, and once again, hop on Entry Point :D.

To the legendary 05 A-wing quad (Roy Wang, Jacob Plotnick, Drew Wang, Raj Patel), I will all of you to continue being amazingly fun and supportive people, and I will you guys to not stress too much in college (all you guys need to stay safe bro). Thanks for letting me wander into the quad every now and then, for different reasons like Jacob giving me caffeine or Drew showing me his guitar skills, even just wandering in to talk to Roy about absolutely nothing important, the quad’s lowkey one of my favorite spots on campus and I appreciate everything you guys have done for me. Jacob especially, please chill on the caffeine and get more sleep, and for the love of Magnus Carlsen don’t fry yourself too much at UChicago. Raj, keep smiling and being a great, sincere person to everyone around you. Drew, keep improving at those guitar skills, I expect you to send me a sick cover of whatever song you’re learning right now. Roy, if I ever end up hopping on Minecraft in the future, I expect you to carry me in Skyblock or anything else, you’re such a goat.

To my chess team Aaravs, both Shah and Lala, I will you guys to stay in touch and absolutely demolish me in any time control every now and then (or… get demolished, hopefully). Stay in touch! After meeting you guys at the Hinsdale Central tournament in 2023, I’ve had so much fun getting to know you guys over these past 2 years, going to tournaments, goofing off in the hotel rooms, and making amazing jokes on the bus rides there and back, and ESPECIALLY the dinners at Indian Tadka. I’ll never forget how you guys made chess team feel like a second family, and I know both of you guys will go on to do amazing things in the future. Good luck, and thank you!

To Nathan Handjojo, I will you many functioning robots and automations in the future, and a prototype flying car when you get around to making one. My tiny Scioly captain, you’ve been a great help and person throughout these last 2 years and I’m really happy I’ve gotten to know you. Keep improving at your balisong tricks, mayyybbee stop playing too many games during classes, and stay in touch!

To Aditya Tiwari, I will you an extensive Michel Foucault collection, I will you to never stop your pursuit for knowledge and everything you find interesting, and I will you to never stop being yourself. Since meeting you, I’ve been inspired to try to have some element of serendipity in my life, take a few pages out of your book, and explore what I truly find interesting. I admire you for everything you do, how truly interested you are in whatever you do, and the genuine happiness you get out of pursuing them. I’m so proud of you for everything you’ve done, and I know with certainty that you’ll do great things in the future. You’ll get another look at this through the card I wrote you for programming, but you’ve truly been such a driving force and inspiration for so many people on campus, and the impact that has on them in the long run is something to be proud of. I’m honored that I’ve gotten to know someone as cool as you through regular interactions, doing random stuff in your room (thank you for the tiramisu!), SpecFic together, and staying in touch with you would be absolutely wonderful. Take care of yourself! I know it gets hard at times, but you’ll get through it and come out stronger. Stay safe, and please keep in touch.

Back to Top | Back to Index

Ian Wang

To Harish Chandar, I will you a successful career as a CS Major. Seriously, I wasn’t expecting to meet another Spurs fan at IMSA, but I’m glad that I did. Thanks for your advice and for being a good friend, I wish you the best at NU.
To Axel Aguilar, I will you a roster spot in college. When I came to IMSA I was skeptical of the soccer team, but your following positivity and passion has really helped me settle in here. You’re an inspiration to me and I’m glad that I met you.
To Andrew Zhu, I will you 2nd place (again) and a new group of people to play soccer with at Yale, after your ball falls down from the West Gym ceiling.
To Eric Zhou, I will you a new gaming laptop and a hockey stick, in case you break yours over your knee or something cool like that. You’ve been a good friend to me from when I stole fruit snacks from your quad as a sophomore to visiting China this spring. Thank you for being the chill guy that you are, and I hope that your future plans all work out for you.
To Noah David, I will you a Minecraft speed run PR. Thank you for entertaining all my delusional 1 am hot takes and for helping me ragebait Andrew. In seriousness though, being friends with you has made my junior year way more fun. You’re the most talented artist I’ve met, and on top of that you’re really smart. I know that you’ll be very successful and make a lot of new friends at Yale. Being on ASIA is genuinely one of the best parts of my IMSA experience, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it and to have met you all. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors!
To Dhivija Challa and Avi Samy, I will you utter despair when you open up your pencil pouches on the first day of college and find that, indubitably, I have stolen your eraser for good. Thanks for letting me sit at your MVC table and for the many granola bars. Knowing you guys this semester has been a lot of fun, and I hope that you find success (and new stationery) in college!
To Drew Wang, I will you an abstract algebra class in college. You’re one of the most chill guys I know and I’m glad that we met way back in Marshall’s French class.
To Rakshan Chandrasekhar, I will you a working tablet. I wish I could’ve met you earlier. The way I genuinely love you cannot be matched. I don’t think I’ve ever had more fun than I did in Legends Modern. The way we connected, I can’t explain. I don’t know who else will goon around with me about K-pop, C-dramas, and dance after you graduate. I’ll miss all of times we’d just gossip until practice or ten check and I’ll forever treasure all of our backstage pics. If you forget me in college, I will hunt you down. Just being around you always put a smile on my face. Good luck at UIUC and I will meet you there!

To Kayleen, I will you Jungwon. I am so so so so so thankful that housing cannot do their job properly because if they did, I wouldn’t have met you. It’s crazy to think that we’ve only really been talking for a year and a half now. We started with talking through the wall because y’all were loud and Kyleigh was sleeping and now you guys are graduating. You’re amazing, and a gooner and have fallen asleep in every place possible in this campus twice. You’re funny, an amazing dancer, and I hope good luck follows you everywhere.

To Aimanohi, I will you all of my smoothest dance moves. No matter how much you scold me to be sharp and participate in Clash, I love you anyways. You have been such a mentor figure both in dance and in life. Half the time I talk to you, I wonder if you’re 17 or 70. Starting from African in my sophomore year, you were the reason I wanted to start taking dance seriously. Working with you for Asé Modern and African was so much fun. I promise not to let Do Touch My Hair die and I will motivate Skylar for you. You’re basically my twin and I’ll miss you.

To Amada, I will you 40 inch bussdown curls. I know I can always rely on you for anything. I especially relied on you for African by putting you in all of the songs, but you showed up for me and I’m so grateful for that. I never need to be serious around you and we can just joke around and spam dances. Never lose that whimsical side of you.

To Cindy, I will you the ability to always escape from Frenchie. Your crashouts during junior year were genuinely unmatched, but you finally made it. I know you’ve been ready to graduate since the womb, I think you’re hilarious and I wish you all the best in college.

To Katherine, I will you peace. I know this year’s been really rough on you, but I’m really proud that you made it this far. Thank you for always being there and having such an interesting life. I could listen to you rant all day. Thank you for always feeding me. I will never forget all the late nights that we’d gossip in you and Kayleen’s room and steal from your Nerds Gummy Cluster. I can guarantee that you will have 1000 times more fun in college. I genuinely love you and will always love you.

To Megan, I will you no more Creative Writing assignments. In general, you’ve always been more of Kyliegh’s friend than my friend. However, I appreciate you for being there and making us the subject of your creative writing assignments.

To Teah, I will you the best. Even though I don’t know much about you, you’re always happy to see me and I wish you the best in life.

To Mahima, I will you an internal clock. Even though you’re chronically late, thank you for making Diwali Modern what it was and for being next to me through all of the late practices.

To Nidhi, I will you a clear throat. I didn’t get to learn too much about you. the few conversations that we have had, I really enjoyed them and I loved being on the same wavelength with you during G-Friend for Night Market. Never lose that voice.

To the Seniors in African, I will you the ability to lock in. Some of y’all really ticked me off (you know who you are). In the end, we pulled through and it looked good. Good luck in the future.

Back to Top | Back to Index

Inayat Chandra

To Amelia Kinney, I will you lots of sleep and good food options in college. I’m glad that you were my roommate this year. I remember when we first met, I was missing a meeting while wondering when you would move in. Since the very beginning of the year, we have become quite close. I enjoyed watching the Apothecary Diaries and Cherry Magic, and See your Love with you. You made all those days memorable, and sometimes I wish that you didn’t graduate so we’d be able to still hang out like that (I actually hope you do graduate, it’d be a bit selfish to keep you here). I remember taste-testing your food sometimes and taking things that were too spicy for you (weakling). I remember making homemade carrot pudding for you and talking a lot about the most random things, from the genders that the elements on the periodic table would be to our favorite shows. One of my favorite memories of us was January 20, when our P-Tac broke down, and it was 12:30 am in the morning, with snow outside. The room temperature was in the high 50’s, and you took out your hair dryer to heat the room (spoiler, it didn’t work much). We were laughing and shivering in the cold. I don’t think I can ever forget that night. There are so many memories like this I have with you, and I hope I never forget them (especially the list of your unhinged quotes). Residential life is a huge part of IMSA, and I’m so thankful that I had such a fun roommate. You really made me happy, even on nights I felt a bit miserable. Seriously, thank you so much. I hope you have fun in college, get all that sleep (we both know how many all-nighters and late nights you’ve pulled this year), and do great. I hope we can keep in touch, and still be friends after you graduate. Have fun at Agustana, and never stop being chaotic!

To Eric Lee, Rishima Mukherjee, Molly Federici, my speech captains, I will you guys a cool pen and notebook so you can write down all the smart thoughts in your brains. Speech was a great experience, and I enjoyed going to tournaments with the group. I hope you all have a fun and relaxing summer. It was great knowing you all, and good luck for college!

To Aparna Sadhanagiri, Rishima Mukherjee, Muskaan Kapur and Nitya Dixit, I will you all fun dance opportunities. It was a pleasure to learn choreography from you all for Diwali, and I quite enjoyed the experience. The choreography was amazing, the outfits were great, and I loved rehearsals and the actual performance. Thank you for being my choreographers this year, and I hope you have fun in college!

To the Seniors in my Hall and Wing, 1501 A wing, I will you all good cleaning supplies for your future housing. It was a fun experience living with everyone here. I remember participating in musical bingo, fun parties, wing wars, and clash of the halls with everyone. I’m glad I could be a part of this hall and have fun with all the residential activities we did this year. I hope you have a great time at college!

Lastly, to any seniors I missed, I will you all lots of sleep and good food (I know Lexington was not the best, to say the least). Thank you for being students I could look up to. You all are amazing people, and I know you’ll do great things in your own field(s).
