The power shift from AFC to the NFC is complete as there are only two teams in the AFC with winning records! Anyways, after a week off, we are back with our Power Rankings. Mason Dearborn assisted me with them again this week by covering the even ranked teams while I covered the odd ranked ones. Enjoy!<\/p>\n

1. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Falcons (6-0) Last Week: 2 (M: 2, A: 1)<\/p>\n
They are at the top of my rankings for one reason: they are undefeated. Nothing more needs to be said.<\/p>\n
2. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Texans (5-1) Last Week: 1 (M: 1, A: 2)<\/p>\n
Although they lost, I still put them over the undefeated Falcons in my rankings.\u00a0 This team is still the best overall in many ways, the Packers game was just an anomaly.\u00a0 The Packers\u2019 defensive line silenced the best run offense in the league and Aaron Rodgers had six touchdowns.\u00a0 Clay Matthews and Rodgers can have good days and ruin a team\u2019s undefeated hopes.<\/p>\n
3. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Giants (4-2) Last Week: 5 (M: 3, A: 3)<\/p>\n
This team has the capability to repeat but they are far too inconsistent. Eli Manning has been the most consistent player on their team, which isn’t saying much. “Mr. Inconsistent” is their most consistent player. But, as we all know, the Giants have a way of catching fire at the right time.<\/p>\n
4. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Bears (4-1) Last Week: 6 (M: 4, A: 5)<\/p>\n
If we ranked in alphabetical order, the Bears would be first.\u00a0 They will get there soon.\u00a0 The Bears are one of two teams that have only loss to the Packers. The Bears are a strong team coming off a bye that is going to come out and show everyone that they are here to stay at the top of the North.<\/p>\n
5. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a049ers (4-2) Last Week: 4 (M: 5, A: 4)<\/p>\n
This team is starting to worry me. It seems as though this is a defense-only team. Meaning that if they can\u2019t stop teams on defense, then they have absolutely no shot at beating anybody. If they can fall to the Giants, then they can fall to teams with potent offenses like the Patriots and Packers.<\/p>\n
6. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Ravens (5-1) Last Week: 3 (M: 6, A: 6)<\/p>\n
To everyone else who shed a tear for Ray Lewis, Webb, and Ngata, I feel you.\u00a0 The defense is now desperate.\u00a0 Suggs needs to come back now more than ever.\u00a0 The Ravens’s defense was actually dropped in one of my fantasy leagues, which is extremely unheard of.\u00a0 The realization finally hit me when I saw people questioning if the Ravens would win their division.\u00a0 They are participating in the best game of the week as they will take on the Texans who are on a mission after their undefeated season was ruined last week.<\/p>\n
7. \u00a0 \u00a0 Seahawks (4-2) Last Week: 17 (M: 8, A: 7)<\/p>\n
Watching them disassemble the Patriots in the second half was scary. Then again, the Patriots’ secondary has a way of making any quarterback look like Tom Brady. The Jets should provide a good respite from their struggles.<\/p>\n
8. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Packers (3-3) Last Week: 7 (M: 7, A: 9)<\/p>\n
The Green Bay Packers depend on Aaron Rodgers so much.\u00a0 He has good days and the team wins.\u00a0 Last year he had 15 in a row to start the year, and he just had another one to take away the Texans win.\u00a0 I think the X factor of this team is unpredictable but winning clutch games is something that can\u2019t be ignored when the games really start to matter towards the end of the season.<\/p>\n
9. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Patriots (3-3) Last Week: 9 (M: 11, A: 8 )<\/p>\n
They have glaring issues in their secondary which is not something that can easily be fixed. On the bright side, they still have the real Tom Brady.<\/p>\n
10. \u00a0 \u00a0 Broncos (3-3) Last Week: 13 (M: 9, A: 13)<\/p>\n
Peyton Manning had an amazing week, led by a stunning second half 35- unanswered point streak to overcome his worst half time deficit of his career at 24-0.\u00a0 This team is one to watch to move up these rankings as they prove they are legitimate, but not this week, as they\u2019re on bye.<\/p>\n
11. \u00a0 \u00a0 Eagles (3-3) Last Week: 10 (M: 10, A: 12)<\/p>\n
Andy Reid has to be feeling the heat now. His team is starting to slip into one of those funks that are extremely hard to recover from. By the way, Michael Vick needs to stop turning the ball over.<\/p>\n
12. \u00a0 \u00a0 Vikings (4-2) Last Week: 14 (M: 13, A: 10)<\/p>\n
One unbelievable story of the year had to be the Vikings 4-1 start.\u00a0 They were very solid and I like teams like the Vikings who can have a strong defense and consistent offense.\u00a0 RG3 and the Redskins beat them, but I don\u2019t think this loss is a sign .<\/p>\n
13. \u00a0 \u00a0 Steelers (2-3) Last Week: 15 (M: 14, A: 11)<\/p>\n
Without a running game, you can\u2019t close out a game. Never was that more apparent than last Thursday in Tennessee. But with Ben Roethlisberger and their defense playing the way that it is now, they have a legitimate chance of catching the Ravens in the AFC North, especially with the Ravens\u2019 injuries.<\/p>\n
14. \u00a0 \u00a0 Cardinals (4-2) Last Week: 8 (M: 12, A: 14)<\/p>\n
The Cardinals were undefeated? People ranked them HOW HIGH? No.\u00a0 They lost to the Bills who were -55 in points scored minus points against over the last two weeks.\u00a0 Fix the offensive line if you want the offensive machine to run.<\/p>\n
15. \u00a0 \u00a0 Cowboys (2-3) Last Week: 16 (M: 18, A: 16)<\/p>\n
That was the best they played all year and they still lost. Ultimately, this team is mediocre and their opponents know it.<\/p>\n
16. \u00a0 \u00a0 Dolphins (3-3) Last Week: 27 (M: 20, A: 15)<\/p>\n
The bye week follows a good performance from Tannehill and the gang.\u00a0 They defeated the Rams who are also surprisingly having a good year.\u00a0 Pay close attention to Reggie Bush as he rushed for just 17 yards this week on 12 carries.<\/p>\n
17. \u00a0 \u00a0 Bengals (3-3) Last Week: 12 (M: 17, A: 18 )<\/p>\n
Losing to the Browns is something that one cannot overlook. I have been a supporter of this team from the beginning because of Andy Dalton and AJ Green but the last two weeks have shaken my confidence in them.<\/p>\n
18. \u00a0 \u00a0 Buccaneers (2-3) Last Week: 24 (M: 15, A: 21)<\/p>\n
The Bucs beat the Chiefs and were winning before the Cassel injury.\u00a0 Josh Freeman has played awful and well resulting in an inconsistent nature that needs to be addressed.<\/p>\n
19. \u00a0 \u00a0 Chargers (3-3) Last Week: 11 (M: 19, A: 17)<\/p>\n
Blow a 24 point halftime lead? To a quarterback who sat out a full year last year? I\u2019m not sure this team can get it done anymore.<\/p>\n
20. \u00a0 \u00a0 Redskins (3-3) Last Week: 25 (M: 16, A: 22)<\/p>\n
RG3, the rookie quarterback, is leading all players in fantasy points.\u00a0 He can pass and he can rush, as he showed in his over 70 yard touchdown run.<\/p>\n
21. \u00a0 \u00a0 Jets (3-3) Last Week: 22 (M: 21, A: 19)<\/p>\n
Good news? They utterly destroyed Andrew Luck and the Colts. Better news? Their running game is back. Bad news? Mark Sanchez threw for only 82 yards. Worse news? An angry Patriots team is waiting for them in Foxboro and would love more than to give them a thorough thrashing in front of the home crowd.<\/p>\n
22. \u00a0 \u00a0 Lions (2-3) Last Week: 21 (M: 23, A: 20)<\/p>\n
The Lions were down ten points on their own 30-yard line with not much time left in the game and they won.\u00a0 In the NFL, the better team tends to win more than anywhere else.\u00a0 Showing that they can beat a top team helps the Lions a lot.
\n23. \u00a0 \u00a0 Rams (3-3) Last Week: 18 (M: 22, A: 25)<\/p>\n
Their two game winning streak ended in Miami on Sunday but Sam Bradford played an excellent game. They need to start scoring some points or they won\u2019t make it very far this season.<\/p>\n
24. \u00a0 \u00a0 Bills (3-3) Last Week: 23 (M: 26, A: 23)<\/p>\n
This team beat the Cardinals, which was an upset, and will now take on the also-awful Titans.\u00a0 I am interested to see how the running back situation ends up between Spiller and Old Man Jackson.<\/p>\n
25. \u00a0 \u00a0 Titans (2-4) Last Week: 26 (M: 25, A: 24)<\/p>\n
Statistically, this is one of the worst teams in the NFL. Yet somehow they beat the Steelers. You just don\u2019t know what you are going to get with this group.<\/p>\n
26. \u00a0 \u00a0 Colts (2-3) Last Week: 30 (M: 24, A: 26)<\/p>\n
The win over the Packers and the blowout loss to the Jets shows the lack of consistency within this team. \u00a0Everything is counting on Luck, \u00a0so please wish him some.<\/p>\n
27. \u00a0 \u00a0 Saints (1-4) Last Week: 29 (M: 27, A: 27)<\/p>\n
They went into their bye week on a high after their win and Drew Brees\u2019 recording breaking touchdown in Week 5. They have a wonderful opportunity to build on that success against Tampa Bay this week. If they lose, however, the same questions will be asked all over again.<\/p>\n
28. \u00a0 \u00a0 Browns (1-5) Last Week: 31 (M: 29, A: 29)<\/p>\n
This awful team beat the Bengals in their first division win in over two years. I am not convinced.<\/p>\n
29. \u00a0 \u00a0 Raiders (1-4) Last Week: 32 (M: 30, A: 28 )<\/p>\n
They almost beat our #1 team. It’s progress but it does not mean much because they did not deliver when it mattered. Their best chance for another win comes this week against our #32 team.<\/p>\n
30. \u00a0 \u00a0 Panthers (1-4) Last Week: 20 (M: 28, A: 30)<\/p>\n
They have a terrible run defense and run game.\u00a0 Cam Newton is deep in his sophomore slump and we will see if he has learned which team to throw the ball to over his bye week.<\/p>\n
31. \u00a0 \u00a0 Chiefs (1-5) Last Week: 19 (M: 31, A: 31)<\/p>\n
So Chiefs\u2019 fans, you have Brady Quinn now. And nothing changed. SURPRISE!!<\/p>\n
32. \u00a0 \u00a0 Jaguars (1-4) Last Week: 28 (M: 32, A: 32)<\/p>\n
Blaine Gabbert is the worst starting quarterback in the league.\u00a0 Several teams have backups who would start in his place.\u00a0 My reasoning for putting the Jaguars behind the Chiefs unlike some others, is that the Chiefs held the Ravens to 9 points on just field goals and the Chiefs have a bye week to work on it.\u00a0 The Jaguars defense does not account for their bad QB situation, look at the score of the Bears game.<\/p>\n
