Updating Saved Credentials – Mac

How to Update Saved Credentials

After changing your password on a Mac machine, you will need to clear and reset the cached passwords in keychain to access the student and print servers. SCS members can reset these passwords with a script, or you can follow the instructions below:

Step 1

Open the Mac Keychain. Click Finder -> Go -> Utilities -> Keychain Access or spotlight search for Keychain.

Step 2

In Keychain Access, select the Passwords category on the left. Find airimsa in the list and select it. Right-click airimsa, then select Delete.

Step 3

Click the wireless icon in the menu bar. Select ‘Turn Wi-Fi Off’. Turn Wifi back on and enter your credentials for the network. Make sure to check ‘Remember this network’. Click ‘Join’ to complete.

Step 4

Repeat steps 2 and 3 with the following credentials: studentserver, printserver, and videoserver. To connect to servers, select Finder -> Go -> Connect to Server. Type in the network address (smb://students.imsa.edu, etc.). Check ‘Remember this network’ and click connect. Repeat for each server address. Here is a more detailed guide for accessing servers on mac.

Step 5

To print on the IMSA print server, you will also need to update your password for PaperCut. Use the search bar to find and open the PaperCut application. Select the option to remember your login information, and enter your credentials.
