Two New Magazines in IRC

We’re starting the new year with two new magazines which are available for reading in the comfort of the IRC (maybe tucked away in a bean bag chair) or to check out for reading at your leisure.

A new french magazine, “Le nouvel Observateur,” replaces “Madame Figaro” which discontinued distribution in the U.S. last year. Jean Evans, Reference and Development Collection Librarian in the IRC, worked with IMSA French teachers to find a French language replacement magazine. Et voila – a new magazine that covers politics, the world and economic issues as well a bit of religion in the December 2012/January 2013 issue.

Last year “Spin” magazine stopped publishing and now “Car and Driver” is being sent to finish out the subscription to “Spin.”  If you like listening to music in cars or cars of all types, stop by and check out the newest issues of “Car and Driver.”

Thanks to our very own Nancy Pavlik for posing with our newest magazines.
