Celebrating Black History Month in the IRC

In honor of Black History Month, several displays have been set up in the IRC. All of the resources in the displays can be checked out.

If you enter on the east side of the library, near the Reference Desk, you’ll find a table full of books that Huffington Post has recommended every black person should read. The titles on display are the titles available in the IRC from the list of 50 titles on Huffington Post.

Also on that side of the library is the Black History Month display, which also has many books available for check out.

The third display is near the Circulation Desk and it is tied into the “African American Read In” that will be held in the IRC on Thursday, February 19, 2015, from noon until 12:45 p.m. Food will be served as people read their favorite passages from the books on display.
