IMSA Celebrates 30th Anniversary

The Illinois Math & Science Academy celebrated its 30th anniversary and official opening of IN2, a community innovation center modeled after successful entrepreneurial spaces like 1871, MIT’s media lab, and the University of Illinois’ EnterpriseWorks. The ribbon cutting ceremony included a panel discussion with Youtube cofounder, Steve Chen, and notable alumnus, Claudia M. Flores, J.D. and Jessica Droste Yagan.

In conjunction with this event, the IRC showcased the IMSA archives collection, including a large-screen interactive timeline of the academy’s history: 1987-2017.
