I don’t know how to do math. Help!

You can always start by asking your friends in the same class or level of math as you, or even your upperclassmen who have taken the class before. Also, if you’re still struggling, go to the math office! You’ve heard this time and time again, but it’s true: they’re there to help you. Even if you’re not asking your teacher, there are plenty of other people there who can help you. It’s their job, and they’re there to assist you when you’re having trouble.

How do I stop buying so much stuff off Amazon?

A simple way to start is keeping a log of all the things you buy from Amazon. As long as you keep up with it, you’ll gain perspective on how much money you’re truly spending which may motivate you to stop. Before you do buy anything, be sure to ask yourself whether or not you really need it. Is it something you’ll use frequently or will it sit in your room all year? If you’re doing all of this and still spending lump sums of money on Amazon, try blocking the website using a browser extension. It’s easy enough to get around if you do need to buy something, but it forces you to give a second thought about it.

Any standardized testing tips?

The first (and most cliché) tip I have is not to stress about it too much. It should still be something you care about, but don’t overthink it. To review, I recommend looking over test questions online to get a feel for the types of things that are asked on the test. On the night before, be sure to put together everything you’ll need and get lots of sleep so that you’re ready to go when it’s time to take the test. Good luck!

I’ve accidentally joined too many clubs. I like all of them, but I know I won’t be able to stay an active member in some of the clubs. All of them are important to me, and I don’t want to let anyone down by quitting, but the amount of stress it is placing on me is getting out of hand. I barely have time to do homework and study. What should I do?

Clubs should be a source of enjoyment, not stress! You should think about joining clubs which give you the most enjoyment. If you do like all your clubs but need to lighten the load, leaving some of your clubs, even temporarily, will likely benefit them more than not putting in the time and effort that you think the club deserves. There’s nothing wrong with being honest about what you can and cannot manage at the time, and everyone in the club will likely be understanding if you explain yourself.
