Even though almost the entire world is confined to their homes, life must go on and most of us must work from home. Believe me, I understand the appeal of wasting the day away with junk food and Netflix. But, if we are to recover as a society after the coronavirus cases decline, we must resist the temptation and get back to work. To aid you in your quest for motivation, here are some tips for being productive while working at home.

Establish a designated workspace!

With a clutter-free workspace, you will have fewer distractions and be more focused on the task at hand. This space could also serve as a background for video conferences. In order to ensure that you don’t get distracted, pick a space with a closed door and tell your family or roommates not to disturb you when the door is closed.

Make a routine schedule and stick to it!

Try to wake up every day at around the same day and continue your regular morning routine. Change out of your pajamas and into working clothes, in order to help shift your mindset from relaxing to working. Remember to pencil in time for socializing and relaxing, as well as time for work.

Get some exercise!

Physical activity will make you feel happier and more energized! Plus, there are tons of free exercise plans online right now! If you can, try to take a walk or run outside. A change in scenery can prevent cabin fever, but please take correct precautions to avoid contracting coronavirus. Reduce social media consumption

Although we are all more dependent on our screens and the Internet than ever before, it is still important to remain distraction-free when working. As such, maybe consider putting your phone on the other end of the room while you work.

If we follow these tips, maybe we can make the most of our time at home and life will be relatively normal, despite the pandemic.
