The Best Waters

BBC | WHO launches Health Review

Have you ever gone to buy water at Costco and been shocked at the seemingly endless rows of bottles? Humans are composed of around 60-70% water, meaning that water is absolutely vital for a healthy lifestyle, especially for athletes, who often also consume sports drinks such as Gatorade. But how do you know which ones taste good or are the best for your health? This article dives into this question of what exactly the best kinds of waters are.

1.) Essentia Bottled Water

Essentia bottled water is specifically designed for staying hydrated when exercising or in need of electrolytes, serving as a great candidate for boosting health. As a supercharged hydration water, Essentia is 99.9% purified with a pH level of at least 9.5. Additionally, it removes most of the bitterness included in regular waters at wholesale stores, resulting in a more preferable taste.

2.) FIJI Natural Artesian Water

Fiji water bottles are filled with electrolytes through natural processes such as having the rainwater being filtered through volcanic rock, resulting in its uniqueness. The bottles mostly hold up to 500 millimeters of water, being ideal for school, athletics, travel, work, or casual activities. Despite added nutrients, Fiji water still maintains a non-bitter, smooth taste. Since the water is collected from the volcanic rocks afterward,  the pH level is 7.7.

3.) Acqua Panna Natural Spring Water

As a product of Italy, Acqua Panna water includes no added ingredients but is the ideal version of natural spring water. It comes in 16.9-ounce sizes with a pack of 24 bottles, and the plastic bottles are BPA-free. Additionally, since it is imported from Italy, Acqua Panna water pairs well with various kinds of pasta, salads, and even other drinks.

4.) evian Natural Spring Water

Evian natural spring water is famous for its naturally filtered mineral water. It does only come in 1-liter bottles, which is not ideal for school or work. However, it still includes no added ingredients and is naturally rehydrating with plenty of electrolytes. Similar to the Fiji water, evian water also includes the collection of rain water after being filtered through rocks. With a pH of 7.2, it also has a great taste.

5.) Propel, Berry, Zero Calorie Sports Drinking Water

Propel water is perfect for athletes across the spectrum. As an official sports bottled water supported by Gatorade Sports Science Institute, it is infused with electrolytes and vitamins C and E for a nutrient boost. Moreover, Propel water has a wide range of sugar-free versions including berry, black cherry, grape, strawberry, lemonade, and watermelon. It comes in 16.9-ounce bottles in a set of 12.

Whatever hydration product you choose, it is important to remember that drinking water is crucial in leading a healthy lifestyle and is always a good habit to get into. In fact, the next time you need to buy a present for your friends or family, an electrolyte-filled drink is always a good option!
