The Class of 2023’s Prom

Seniors have only a little more than one month left of high school. Before then, we still have a lot to get through—college decisions, extracurriculars (for those of us who have a sense of responsibility), essays, tests, IMSALoquium…the list goes on. With so many things to handle, it can be easy to burn out and lose motivation before we officially walk across the stage. But, there is the one thing that every senior has been waiting for: prom!

Where is prom?

Thanks to our Senior Class Club, 2023 seniors have the chance to celebrate prom at Victoria in the Park, a wedding venue in Mount Prospect (and not Old Caf). The afterparty will take place at Bowlero for bowling, arcade, and laser tag. After finals and before graduation, seniors will take the senior trip to Six Flags (happening June 1st).

When is prom?

IMSA Prom will take place on Friday, May 12. The rough timeline was released Tuesday 3/21 at the senior meeting. Though it is subject to change, here is the timeline for the day:

5:00 PM: Leave IMSA

6:00-7:30 PM: Dinner

7:30-11:00 PM: Dance

12:00-3:00 AM: Bowlero

3:00-3:30 AM: Return to IMSA

Other details

Currently, the cost for tickets is $110 per person. This includes the dance, dinner, Bowlero, late-night pizza party, arcade, and laser tag. All payment is due to Ms. Chloe Katehis by April 24. If you are bringing in an outside guest or an underclassman, make sure to complete the forms approved by the school administration to get them in. For students with financial need, they are asked to contact Ms. Chloe.

Seniors, also start thinking about your prom tables. SCC plans to have around 10-12 people per table, so make sure you know who’s going to be where. Also, stay tuned for more forms coming out in the future, such as voting for prom royalty, buses, and song choices.

Lastly, make sure to fill out these forms as soon as possible!
