With schools closed and coronavirus cases climbing, we must all self-quarantine for our own safety and for the safety of our loved ones. However, if you are like most people, being stuck at home all day with nothing to do will make you stir-crazy. So, for the greater good, here are some great shows that you can find on Netflix as you do your part to save the world.

Lucifer – This show has little bit of everything: comedy, drama, mystery, fantasy, and even romance! The show follows the devil himself (played by Tom Ellis) who has become bored with running Hell and runs away to Los Angeles to run a nightclub and solve crime. It’s highly entertaining with its witty humor and tongue-in-cheek take on traditional Bible stories.

The Good PlaceThis comedy tells the story of Eleanor Shellstrop (played by the lovable Kristen Bell) who dies and goes to “The Good Place” only to discover that they’ve mistaken her for somebody else. The series is hilarious with tons of twists and turns and it actually teaches you a lot about philosophy and makes you think

Jane the Virgin – This telenovela follows Jane Villanueva (played by Gina Rodriguez), an aspiring writer who is accidentally artificially inseminated during a routine check-up. The show is super addictive with its dramatic twists, heart-wrenching love triangle, and amazing side characters.

MerlinThis retelling of the famous legend of King Arthur centers around a teenaged Merlin (played by Colin Morgan) who becomes Arthur’s manservant as he trains to hone his magic. Merlin must protect Arthur while hiding his magic because of its forbidden nature. The gorgeous sets and lighthearted humor make the show a must-watch, especially now that we all have loads of time on our hands.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine  – This show follows the delightful shenanigans of the NYPD’s 99th precinct as they solve crimes, navigate personal relationships, and just have fun. The show perfectly balances drama, crime, and comedy and entertains us with well-rounded and drastically different characters. Amidst all the upsetting events unraveling outside our windows, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is sure to provide some much-needed laughter.

So, there you have it! Relax and enjoy the show!
